PL2: Liverpool vs Manchester United

Would love to see some changes, if we keep playing like we've been recently that's not gonna end well.

Will Liverpool be under strength due to supposedly playing the kids against Plymouth wednesday night?

Mufc XI vs Liverpool: Pereira; Riley, Mitchell, Tuanzebe, Poole, Goss, Harrop, Willock, Redmond, McTominay, Gribbin.

I know the positions are irrelevant at this stage but it's worrying that we're sat in the bottom 4 way off the top 6.

Absolutely shameful that this team doesn't have a proper striker up top. Sick of seeing a CM/CDM stuck up top each week.

HT 0-0. Awful game.

Mctominay/Willock will go down as the worst front pairing a United reserve side has ever had.

This whole group is dreadful tbh. Worst I can remember anyway.

It's not exactly their fault is it? No forward players and Butt isn't exactly a quality manager.

How can we possibly know anything about Butt's ability as a manager from the outside? What we do know from watching them is there's a lot of shite in the squad and very little if any special talent.

Most of the ones who won the league have left for pastures new and we won't give fringe players a run out in these games. The cupboard is really bare at this level. Looks like we will need to wait for the U-18's to be promoted and hope they are as good as they look.

Yep thats the sunshine on the horizon for me. The attacking talent is there underneath but no point rushing them so going to have to put up with this lot in the meantime. Just a shocked a United reserve side has come to this. Players that shouldn't be anywhere near the club making up a bulk of the side.

Still I suppose Gribbin is getting games and Hamilton did well earlier in the season.

Goss isn't the best free kick taker from what I've seen, think the others have given up arguing with him because he seems to take all the set pieces regardless.

Yes! Penalty. Love that from Gribbin, just smile and walk away

Great save but I was hoping Demi, Callum or Josh took that, would've been better bets I think but Goss loves his dead balls

Great run by Axel. Looks like he's had enough and said sod it haha. Would've shot myself if I was him though

What a run from Tuanzabe! Shame about the final ball again.

After the disgraceful, sheer unsportsmanlike behaviour from the Liverpool players before and after the pen incident, this is justice. We should've celebrated in their faces, but our reserves are classier than that.

That second half was as good as i've seen from us this season.

Poole and Tuanzabe in particular were excellent.

Get in. Return to the phlegm pit whence they came

No real stand outs for me tonight but a great result, especially in the way they got it. Liked the way the side went about the game towards the end, persistent and you felt the goal coming. Goss showed good composure having had a penalty saved to whip in that free kick for Willock, beautiful delivery, one of those where it's almost impossible to miss.
