Pistons undefeated

The previously undefeated Pistons

Pistons are undefeated after 5 games. The only NBA team left undefeated so far. New coach Flip Saunders has them playing some great offense too. They're averaging 104 points a game! Quite a contrast from last season when it was all defense that won them games.

Obviously no other Pistons lovers on here. Now 7-0.....couple of tough games coming up though. Houston and Dallas.

 @ the raptors and the hawks. the raptors are 0-8  and the hawks are 0-7

Actually I'm laughing more at the Knicks with Larry Brown at the helm. I never would have thought it but the Pistons are actually a better team without him, meanwhile his Knicks look crap early on.

NBA is excruciating to watch. I'd rather flip to Lifetime and catch some stupid "mother/daughter conflict" saga.
You should've called yourself MrsMarcello then. ;)

houston? alston sucks, yao ming might score 20+, the main thing is to guard T-mac... remember a year ago that game vs. spurs (pains me saying this again...) 15 pts in 34 secs *sigh*, scared me last night as the spurs were playing them, t-mac was 0/8 in the first half then came up big, think he collected 24 pts and shrinked the lead from 20 to 4 at one point... :nervous:

Well we beat them but we made heavy weather of it. Very sloppy on offense tonight. T-Mac was not very effective because of a back injury. So its 8-0. Bring on Dallas. :D

Yeah but to be fair the USA olympic team was basically made up of 2nd and 3rd stringers with a large helping of egotists who destroyed the team concept.

It seems the NBA has much more appeal outside of the US than in the US because I can't fecking stand to watch that dire, dire shite.
Where do you live Devil?

so the raptors and the hawks, who will first get a win? i'm really interested in knowing...
Raptors lost again, 93-100 celtics, so they are now 0-9, hey so as the hawks!

Tonight, Dallas will end Detroit's undefeated start.

However, I won't be watching.
That'll be the death of this thread then. I'm sure you'll be happy. I think we'll beat Dallas though.

119-82...not even close. Did Detroit actually make the trip from Houston to Dallas? From the highlights I saw, that might have been the University of Detroit playing last night.

 Yes we got spanked! They put us away with 40 points in the first quarter! We never stood a chance from then on.

What a shocker. The Raptors beat the Heat. Wow. Did the Heat have any of their big guns out?

well watched 1 minute only.
there's wade, mourning, payton, posey, walker, basically i guess everyone played except o'neill, not sure about J. WIll tho'
people love joey graham cause he ran into mourning and got a blocking foul off him ;)
my friend was there, 95% cheering for the heat and the other 5% booing mourning
watched the 'game in an hour', brilliant second half, gotta give credits to the raptors, 40 pts in the 4th quarter, mike james, cb4, calderon and villeneuva played a big part in it. araujo stayed close with mourning, did an ok job. wade was looking for 3 foul calls but didn't get it. got a Tec call in result. they tied the game at 50 a piece, got (maybe) too hypered, sliped back to a 9 pt deficit, got the momentun back thru a couple of mike james 3 point plays and a huge CB4 block.
got an e-mail from the raptors insider, 2 fans were ejected due to 'disruptive behavior, including foul or abusive language or obscene gestures.' and did not 'sit only in their ticketed seats and show their tickets when requested'
luckily last year i got away with the second one :smirk:

Great result for the raptors. They used to have such potential when Vince Carter was first drafted but they've definitely gone downhill since. And yes I've also sat in seats that I didn't have tickets for. I didn't know they were strict about that. :nervous:

don't forget T-mac was once a raptor.
i was planning to do that again (sitting in seats that i didn't have tickets for) in the rocket and spurs games but i guess i might get caught and be tossed out

That's right I forgot about him. He definitely gained in stature when he left the Raptors. Carter seemed to get all the attention (which was not surprising for the human highlight reel).

Ahh what are the odds of someone catching you? I say go for it.

Not very well jatin. They've won 4 and lost 6 so far this season. They've struggled ever since Shaq left them.

Here's a nice little article ranking all the teams in the NBA at the moment:

 everytime i see the name steve kerr makes me laugh because of the charles barkley quote "Hey Steve, no offense, but if you couldn't shoot, there would be no reason for you to be alive." legend
my spurs are closing on your pistons, watch out ;)
