Well he is currently rated as the best 1day batsmen.
Although on recent performances id have to say that Hayden is looking like he's in a class of his own.

Pietersen is an awesome player - the only (English) player that is truly world class.
But in my eyes, still needs to increase the number of hundreds he scores, in one dayers and tests, beforehe can be considered number one.

yeah he's rated number 1, which i find surprising. Can't see how he's better than Ponting for example.

Once again we have spasticated statistics. Statistics that are drawn up by spastics for spastics. Otherwise, Pointing or Hayden would be number 1.
I think most of us are agreed that either Hayden or Ponting should be rated at number one?
Narrow it down even further Eric, Ponting is the best player in the world. I can't really see how anyone could argue with that?
I was merely going by Hayden's last two innings - he's certainly the form player at the moment.
He might go for 0 in his next two innings. Look at Hussey, a couple of months ago he was nigh impossible to get out, would have put up an immense case for being the best player in the world, you'd never say that now.
