In all seriousness i've heared a lot of rumours about this, 6thers a strong rumour that we've arranged a transfer for the summer. But i can't see us buying both Cisse and Nico.

Agreed. Looks like you'll be getting Anelka and not both of them, unless of course you're willing to part ways with Owen or Heskey.

Exactly, Anelka already looks a likely deal at 19mil, Cisse would demand a similar sum, another 16-20mil, so 35mil on two strikers-hard to see it. Anyway the scousers defence and attack is not what needs attention, the most sensible improvement for them would be investing in a quality playmaker in midfield.
Actually Mexes sounds like the one United have had ongoing interest in. We have two young CBs already, and will surely go for an experienced CB in the Summer, so who would partner him? Its tricky to still encourage the youth players, while buying in talent, but IMO on ability Mexes would be ahead of O'Shea or Brown in the pecking order, and we'd be crazy not to sign him.

Maybe there is an element of truth in the Owen to Real for 50m rumour...

Philippe Mexes has revealed that he expects to be on his way to AC Milan at the end of the season.
The France international is currently on the books of Roma, but will see his contract with the capital giants expire in the summer.
Numerous clubs were believed to be in the running for his signature, with it not often that a player of such calibre becomes available as a free agent.
Mexes admits it will be a wrench to leave Roma after seven enjoyable years at Stadio Olimpico, but believes a move to Milan has come at the right stage of his career.
The 29-year-old centre-half, who is set to miss the remainder of the 2010/11 campaign with a knee ligament injury, told Gazzetta dello Sport: "I don't think I will be staying at Roma, I will be going elsewhere.
"AC Milan? There has been a lot of talk about such a move and I will probably go there.
"After seven years in Rome I am very close to the city, the fans and the club. My son was born in Rome and I feel Roman.
"Football is like this, though, and I have to make the best decision for myself.
"Whatever happens I will never find another team like Roma, not in Italy nor abroad.
Wasn't Mexes supposed to be one of the best defenders in the world when Roma got him and then they faced a transfer embargo? It has been downhill for him for sometime now.
I remember when he along with Kompany, vanden Borre and Van Buyten were the next big things. Only one from that quartet has turned into a top class defender.
