Petition to have a dedicated Cricket forum on the main page.

This is for all us Cricket fans. There so many forums that are hardly used, and Sultan, Mr Stats, will prove that the cricket pavillion is more popular than the current events forum.

I know this is a United forum, but some of us do enjoy our cricket as well, and would like to talk to other United fans about it as well.

There are several events coming up, World Cup, County Cricket season, India and WI touring Eng, and lots more.

Everyone who wants a dedicated cricket forum on the main page say:

'I dont like Cricket, oh no....I love it!'

or

'Yes'

2 losses out of 12? ah how quickly they forget ;)

it's just a pity it's the world cup next rather than a test match. all we need is a win under our belts to get us back. the WC is the worst place to attempt that.

well, let's just say, "The Pavillion" was originally my idea ;)

that said, i'm not the best person to lead anything as, technically, i'm still not actually here!
 
I'll sign, Cricket is the No.2 sport behind Football for me.

It helps that Australia are fecking brilliant at it too. :D

As for the Pavilion being too far away, I've said before, use your bookmarks tool bar for an instant click into the god forsaken place.

Can someone explain to me how Cricket is any different than Baseball? I don't really care. But maybe I do. Nah, I don't.
 
I do stay up and watch the baseball on channel 5 during the season, when it's carried live. Not a fan of 'as live' in any sport. Like to think somehow my watching it has an impact on the games dynamics and outcome. :wenger: Fundimentally different games though in all aspects, how runs are scored, technique involved, equipment used, number of players... all sorts; would take forever to explain in depth. They're just both very different.

I prefer cricket because I think it's a more skillful and artistic game, and also much more taxing mentally and physically (that said during a baseball season, they play virtually every sodding day, some skillful rotating goes on). In some respects Twenty20 is a move towards a baseball style game - fine, but it can only be a sideshow to the real thing.

Anyway not the place for that... back to the petition signing...
