Why has he quit Brighton all of a sudden?

Maybe he will be the New Man Utd Assistant at the end of Season

I've been thinking this all day... but can't decide whether it's a good idea or not to have him at OT... His ability was blown up a bit last year and I am not sure he is the right man...

he said that at this moment he hasn't had any offers for clubs. the reason he left is because brighton's plan for a stadium are still very uncertain and he probably won't be given that much money to buy players to keep them in Div 1.

"Blown a bit up..."? What are you talking about?

As far as I'm concerned, Peter Taylor is a COACH first and foremost, and a very, very good one at that. I've heard too many people in the know say that, for me to doubt it one second.

To emphasize my point:

"It's a big shock to me and I'm sure it will be a big shock to the other lads as well," said captain Paul Rogers. "He's done really well here. Since he came in the lads took to him straight away.

"He is a good coach," Rogers added. "His sessions were a lot more technical than we were used to and he's improved some of the players during his time at the club." (Taken from today's Guardian)

You can talk all day, but the fact remains: United have been missing the steadying influence of a top notch hands-on coach ever since McLaren left. And it would be a fantastic boost to get Taylor to relieve Fergie of that task!!
