I am getting my copy on wednesday at 10am. A shop I know is going to sell it to me so I can't wait. I probably won't get a proper chance to play it till sunday because of work ffs.
Il pop in to my local shop at some stage during the week and reserve meself a copy for friday. im taking thursday and friday off to get to know my ps3 after its long awaited purchase this coming Tuesday

Played it for a bit. Amazing game.
Positives so far:
-speed of play has dropped considerably compared to that speedy arcady demo. Exactly the right pace, similar to pes 5.
-gameplay is excellent, as expected. Shooting has been much improved, but shot power has been toned down compared to the demo. It's far more realistic and still bliss compared to pes 6.
-commentary so far is better than pes6, not sure yet though, just played 2 matches.
-animations of player movement, superb.
Negatives are the usual lazy shite Konami serves up every year:
-graphics -> still bad
-replays are jaggy and suffer from big slowdowns. very sloppy.

Xbox 360. But every version is out in Holland. It's great.
XboX versions are normally worse for PES than they are on PS platforms aren't they?
Btw, you can go online with your ML team... but it has several restrictions.

But I've been playing pes6 on the xbox 360 instead os ps2, so I started with the 360 version as I'm more familiar with its controls.

Kevin is it possible to be locked to only one player and have they included match ratings this time? They forgot about that in last years 360 version...
They basically took half the game out for the X-box 360 version last year. Probably so they could gradually put it back again over the next three or four releases
The two "next-gen" console versions are identical apart from the PS3 version has more slowdown according to IGN. Personally I can't resist the PC version with all the customisation and tweaking that the community does, plus it isn't like FIFA where the PC gets the shitty PS2/XBox version instead of the shiny new 360/PS3 version.
Don't think it's possible, haven't been checking options much yet though. Just playing the game ... top player isn't that hard for experienced pes players and you have far better close controls and dribbling at high speed this time around... it seems easier to get past players and shots are blazing hard...
How's computer AI?
More attacking minded. Not like pes6, when they'd try to bog you down chelsea style when you're too good. Attacking play from yourself is therefore rewarded, which is good IMO.
Still, as I said, top player isn't a big deal for advanced players... and it is very easy to dribble with players even at high speed. In pes6 you had to find a balance between slower but better controllable dribbles and sprinting dribbles to get past multiple players... here you can dribble easily even with the likes of deco (who aren't exactly that type of players)through defences if you were any good in previous pes games... it remains to be seen how this will work out online.
That's very good. The last two PES were quite poor in this area.
Just played my first game online... a joy, absolute joy. Server's fecked up a bit though, ball disappears sometimes and does strange things...
You're playing this on the 360 right? Xbox live is a p2p service so there aren't any servers.
