Just bought a 37" Toshiba LCD TV and have it now hooked up to my PC via DVI-HDMI cable from the back of my 8800GT video card in dualview mode.

How do I (if I can) get a game to run in this set up on the TV rather than on my monitor which it seems to want to do? I can drag different windows onto the TV and have them run in full 1080p, but can't figure out how to do the same with a game.

Any help is appreciated.

Can't you open up display properties and drag the windows about? You can set which side they go and which one is used as the main window (no1) IIRC.

Probably could do that, was hoping I didn't have to though as I wanted to be able to have both displays working as they are now together. As it is the TV is set as the secondary display and as such I can drag movies onto the TV and still use my desktop on the monitor for browsing, figured games would work in the same way.

Isn't there a way to put the game into a normal window and then drag it over that way? I'm sure there's an option to do that somewhere, or am I making that up?

i too had this problem.
what I did was set the output to television only instead of having it at dual
display.

After playing the game i would then set the output back to dual display

Yes, doesn't the card effectively halve it's power output when operating in dual mode? You should set it to single display and have the t.v as the main window.

Failing that, most games do have a windowed option so try that (either in options menu or a start-up code like "grandtheftauto.exe -window 1" If you successfully set it you should beable to drag across and resize. However, you may get a lesser performance as described above.

Good point re the power issue, never even considered that (doh).

I'll do as advised then, cheers boys.

Loving my new TV btw :D
