Manchester United are ready to trigger the Roma forward’s bargain exit clause in the coming days.
The World Cup winner moved to Roma last summer as a free agent following the expiry of his deal at Juventus. Seen as one of the best all-round forwards in the Italian game, the capture of Dybala was a real coup for Jose Mourinho’s side.
To that end, Dybala picked up at Roma where he had left off at Juve, scoring 18 goals and adding seven assists at his new club.
However, in his deal there contains a clause whereby he can leave the Stadio Olimpico for a cut-price fee of just €12m (£10.2m). That would not likely have come into play had Roma not failed in their quest to secure Champions League qualification.
Surely somebody would have bought him on day one of the window if this is true. Or is the Italian league not a good standard ?
