Fergie has just said on Sky that the move has hit a snag because of Dwight Yorkes reluctance to leave. Now there's a surprise.

While he did say that maybe it was his agent, he made pretty clear his feelings about Yorke holding up the deal - and unfortunately that getting Paulo depends on getting rid of Yorke. I don't see why we can't get PDC in anyway and hopefully that will put more pressure on Yorke to leave. Yorke looks to be seriously pissing off Alex, and that is seriously pissing me off with him too. I hope he has played his last game for us!

Well surely we could get Di Canio without selling Yorke first, we have a day or so to get Di Canio but we have til the English deadline to flog Yorke so if Fergie wants Di Canio I don't think its dead yet, altho it'll be hard to sort the deal before the CL dealine :o

We need the right 4 strikers so we should get Di Canio anyhow. It's unthinkable for United to continue to have a 4th striker who's no help to the cause just because he won't go.

And Dwight, GO AWAY. You're not welcomed anymore.

I think that's a bit harsh. Given the chance, Dwight could do the job. Unfortunately, Fergie's lost patience with him now :(

He must know he is unwanted at the club, it makes no sense for him to stay. I think this last year has highlighted the diffences in players like cole and players like Yorke.

I would now admire him if he were to help out the club that plucked him from mediocracy and gave him such greatness, and rush through the deal if possible !!!!

Sorry Blythy, but I disagree. He's been given lots of chances of late and all he did was jog around as if a carrot was stuck in his arse. And he's got that horrible smile whenever he loses the ball as if saying to himself look at these 67,500 arseholes! If he thinks that after 18 months he can cash in on a free, then he is thinking with his wrong head. Primo, he'll be 33 and secundo he would have spent the last two years of his professional career either warming the bench or playing in the reserves. Tertio, considering the above, who would offer him 58k - even on a free transfer.

I would like to see if he's still wearing that pathetic smile 18 months from now.

Give him the benefit of the doubt until he's gone, maybe he does want to stay for footballing reasons?
Would you leave us for Boro? Unlike Andy Cole he hasnt a WC place to worry about.

Yorke has his fault of course, for he want to just sit here to collect wages and then leave for free in 1.5 years time. However it also make me feel gutted for we, the so-called the biggest and richest club in the world, to be unable to sign a player for only 3 million even after the gaffer publicly declared that he want that player. If it is because of PLC issue, then this PLC thing is certainly ruining our ability to get better result.

Yorke is a f*cking disgrace. He has made no effort all season. When he comes on as sub, he just strolls around like a f*cking idiot who's totally uninterested. We don't want him at United, but the f*cker expects a 50k+ a week from Middlesbro! The sooner he goes, the better. I wouldn't have him in any squad for the rest of the season if he stays. I can't stand fans and "experts" who say he's still a good player who just needs a run in the first team. F*ck off Yorke!

Absolutely! I mean..c'mon! Are we becoming THAT money minded not to spead 3 million on PDC (which is peanuts in today's market) just because Playboy himself chooses to sulk on the bench? Are we prepared to jeopardise our chances for success just because we want to save on 3 million pounds? Have the PLC ever heard of penny wise but pound foolish? I say go get PDC anyway and surely hopefully this will sinally sink into Dwight he is no longer wanted.

Somehow i get the feeling he's also doing this to spite Fergie. What a prick...

From Dwights point of view, saying your a Man Utd player is more likely to pull the birds than saying your a 'Boro player..... <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" /> <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" /> <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" />

Exactly! Now Fergie has publicly declared that he want PDC. It's the time either Yorke or the board must do something!

Dwight used to do the job, extremly well as well. He's not interested in that anymore unfortunately. If boro offered him that amazing 58k he wanted he'd be off by now.

I think Yorkie's agent is none other than Mark Chubby Bosnich. Its a conspiracy!!!! Good friends out to make fergie pay for his ill treatment.... Makes sense doesn't it?

:p

could not believe that yorkie is so thick skin..if he has a pride he should just pack his bag and leave!

i suppose it is sad but if you think about it, Dwight Yorke has brought it upon himself buy playing really badly and being such an asshole

If that's true, then I'll bet he's always been like it - it just didn't affect his form before.

Imo, Yorkie went downhill a couple of years ago when Fergie kept him in the side despite not scoring for about three months. I think he then felt indispensable and lost the momentum of effort.

Yorke has not been performing for over 1 years and I think Fergie has already given him enough chance. He is either stupid or extremely thick-skinned to insist to remain here, as he will definitely be booed by every United fans from now on. It is quite sad, but it shows that a player really shouldn't remain if the manager asked him to leave. (Remember Stam's case? After he left some United fans even accused him of not loyal, because they thought Stam should remain even when the manager asked him to go!)

I remember Danny Wallace got some negative moans and groans when he kept falling over back in the day but it wasn't Murphyesque by any means. Tbh, I can't really remember United fans booing a Red.

One way or another - thats that now. United have registered their CL squad with Forlan for Cole the only change.

I can't remember a United player being booed. I know Sheringham got a bit of stick when he came here (especially in the fanzines) but I don't think anyone would dream of booing here.

Ironic applause maybe but not booing, even when we've had, erm... less than quality players.
