Leeds goalkeeper Paul Robinson has reaffirmed his commitment to Leeds by signing a one-year extension to his contract.
Earlier this season, Robinson was linked with a move to Manchester United at a time when Fabien Barthez was experiencing a tough time.
Leeds chairman Peter Ridsdale has acted quickly to prevent the possibility of the England Under-21 international leaving, with the new deal taking him up until the summer of 2006.
Ridsdale categorically insisted Robinson was not for sale, claiming the 22-year-old was the future of Leeds and England for years to come.
Robinson has not played for the first team in just over a year because of the form of England keeper Nigel Martyn.
United secretary Ian Silvester saying: "This shows our belief in his ability.
"We see him as the long-future of the club in that position.
"While Nigel has the number one jersey at the moment, Paul will one day take over his mantle."
