Where are the threads for this?

So, we're 2-1 up (how the f*ck did we lose 1??). Are there any other Englishmen on the yellow retreat yet (ala Vaughan, Giles, Pietersen)? Maybe Flintoff should come back before his one day statistics take another battering.

Anyway, looking forward to Monday's match...another half day off booked. :D

Prophetic words by me earlier? :D Looks like Harmison has 'got a bit of flu', poor puppy. Nothing to do with getting the sh*ts so close to the next game then?

The next English 'casualty'. Oh how we all love a bumbling Hugh Grant character...he's the fourth from this team.

Well there was no thread when England went 1-0 up, so it's nothing to do with gloryhunting.

We have a more sophisicated attitude towards cricket and realise that Test cricket is the real deal. ODIs are for children and Asians.

You're probably right. Most of the World Cups are in Asia (including Australasia).

You keep worrying about more sophisticated trophies like the World Ashes Cup (I think that's what you call it isn't it?). Reknowned all around the world for its 'importance' over meaningles one-dayers. :boring:

In 27 days time, the best rivalry in the cricketing world will be re-ignited.
Bring it on!!!

No one cares about one-dayers except children and Asians.

BOOM BOOM AFRIDI. Come on Shahid, don't make me get up early and waste half a day off for nothing. :D

Complacancy has crept into Pakistan. England are going through the motions.

Agreed, I was half suspecting a pride-before-a-fall situation from the team (and myself :( ) but thankfully the bowlers are concentrating hard.

Good fightback by England, Blackwell is really impressing me on this tour. End of Giles/Udal for good?

Andersen's been beaten more times than Sunderland this season! Come on Jimmy, go for a big hit. Get it over with.

Just to add the final salt, give them enough runs to believe they can win first. ;)

I thought we might sneak that one for a while. Nevermind. Only children and Asians care about ODIs.

I tried to imagine and I saw a lot of retired pensioners with their pets.

There's quite a lot of people on here that know quite a lot about a cricket. The only thing that everyone agrees on is that you know nothing about cricket, or anything else.

p.s. good effort Jim :D

That was a very brave effort by England's newcomers. Kabir, Liam, Ian and Jimmy can all be proud of their achievements. The others need to take a serious look at themselves as they've caused England the embarrassment of having to qualify for the Champions Trophy.

Knew Pakistan would win this all along, I was just waiting for the runrate to go above 6. Once that happened it was all over. Took a bit longer than I expected thanks to the charitable Sami!
