I haven't watched the match against Haifa and Leeds, so I don't know if there is any difference. But today's game against Spurs just looked nearly the same as our earlier home matches this season -- find it very difficult to break opponent's defence.

During the game I shaked my heads a lot of times because I can't understand why our opponents seems run, react and pass much quicker than us on our own soil. Not only did our front players run slowly (even Giggs didn't dribble pass an opponent in the whole day), but they also need a hell lot of time on the ball. Ruud and Ole seems couldn't control the ball in 2 seconds, while our midfielders (not only Veron, but also butt and becks) also always kept the ball too long before passing.

United never have many good dribblers (in recent years), so what relied on to beat opponets are fast crossing, one-touch passing and quick movement, But why we can't see these things in the United this season? Without these, we will surely find it difficult to win match against a better defensive opponent than Spurs.

Uniteds movement today was shite as it has been all season.

We're finding it difficult to break down teams who have set their stall out to defend.
We need Scholes back in midfield. his movement and late charges into the box were the key to beating teams that were just interested in defending. He gave us another outlet for goals.
He caused teams so many problems because if the opposition concentrated on closing him down it gave our strikers a bit of freedom and if they tried to stop our strikers it let scholes free cause them problems. I can't remember any team being able to mark him out of the game, one on one, when he was playing in midfield.

Agree that Scholes can give us more options in attack. Besides, his passing is quicker and he also like to do one-two with other players. We need to get back our one touch and quick passing. Otherwise if our players just get the ball, look for a teammates for several seconds before pass it, it will give time for our opponents to get to defending position and close us down.

Agreed totally ... we miss Scholes a lot there on that "instanteneous" passing senses ...

And I don't understand ... why our players are so much STATIC !! :p

And gosh ... someone pls tell Forlan ... that he can use his body to check the opponents' shoulder while fighting for the ball ... He looks so soso soft !! ... nothing better like just letting the opponent run through him with the ball ... When you don't get the ball you don't play ... you CAN'T play ... so for god sake , GET THE BALL, FIGHT FOR IT !!

I agree, and it suprises me. The South American leagues are tough. Probably the only leagues that are close to the English in terms of physical contact.
