How about exchanging P.neville and Dwight for blackburns Damien Duff? Play duff on left giggs behind Ruud and buy 2 quality defenders nesta and ayala? dunno what to do with veron and Ole. If veron stays next season which he wont, he will win player of the year next year i 100% guarantee it, and i also feel that he or Raul will get player of the world cup 2002

I've seen Souness say very angrily and confidently on TV that they will not be selling Duff, that they are not a selling club because they are very financially secure due to Jack Walker, and they certainly wouldn't sell Duff. I believe him. Only if he gets very near the last year of his contract will they sell him, and I don't think he is that near yet.

YEh good point, if Phil goes, so does our back up for RB and LB since Irwin is gone. But I have to say that he just isnt good enough anymore. He is a Premiership player but not European class. I dont see why we cant sell him for £4 million or so and get in some European full back who'll cost £3 million or less.

Anythings possible.

Finnan's rated at £6m, which is a bit pricy, but £2m is hardly a rediculous price for a guy who can play full-back, wing-back or midfield on either side.

With our scouts recent records, I don't know whether they can really find 3 million European class full back.... But anyway, this shows once again that how stupid we looked for releasing Higginbotham to Derby.

I agree especially since danny has shone in his performances despite playing in a pathetic derby team.

As for the scouts, they aren't a patch on arsenal's or liverpool's when it comes to bargain buys.
