Kanchelskis failed to make an impact at Saints
Sheffield Wednesday have made their second signing in the space of 24 hours by securing the services of Southampton winger Andrei Kanchelskis.

The Ukraine international has joined the Owls on loan until the end of the season after failing to break into Saints' first-team.

Kanchelskis has not started a game for Saints this campaign and has only made two brief substitute appearances for the Premiership club.

The local paper raved about him - said his (few) appearances in the reserves were great, so I don't know why he didn't play more. Understandable if you try someone and it fails, but he didn't even get a chance.

He must hate his (or his agent's) (or the Mafia's) decision to leave United.
