Right this moment, who would make our strongest XI out of all the players in the academy, reserves and loanees? Such a great bunch of talents, and it seems very hard to pick only 11 in my opinion. Would any of the academy-players make it? Feel free to add a few players on the bench aswell.

My pick:

PIG

De Laet - Wooton - Thorpe - Fryers

Petrucci - Tunicliffe - Pogba

Lingard - King - Brady

Bench: Amos, W.Keane, M.Keane, Norwood, Cole, Brown

Extremely hard to choose to be honest. Players

I was forgetting King existed with him been away this year, Think from what I have seen Will keane has a better chance of making it and Michael could have a shot at RB although we are quite stocked with young players there. Although I see your point the 2 you put in there place are probably more developed at the moment.

Although I'd maybe feel more comfortable with Amos instead of PIG i rate him highly where I have never had much time for PIG

I didnt forget him, but I think he needs to develope a little bit until he'll be able to beat either of King or Keane for the Best XI-spot in the reserves.

Mine would be;

Amos

Vermijl - Keane - Thorpe - Fryers

Petrucci - Pogba - Cole

Brady - Keane - Lingard

Subs; Johnstone, Fornasier, Blackett, Tunnicilffe, Norwood, King.

Im not the biggest fan of De laet, Brown or Wooton to be honest. All are now 20+ plus and haven't shown nowhere near enough to suggest they have a chance of a future first team spot at the club. I don't think any will still be here this time next year tbh.

I also haven't seen enough of Brady in the last 6 months or so to form a real opinion of where he is at the moment, just small highlights (including a goal this weekend) from his games at Hull. However the reports have been good and he did look promising before he went away.

As for King and Tunny, both have returned in recent weeks to the reserves (King for the City game) and neither have really showed a big improvement from prior to their loans which is a disappointment. Still time for both though, especially Tunnicliffe.

Norwood is also a good prospect but I feel the three I have picked in cm are all bigger talents than he is.

Will Keane is the best young striker at the club (bar Welbeck and Chich) and one of the biggest English talents also. He has a good chance of making it here if he continues to improve.

I also rate Lingard, Cole, Blackett and Michael Keane very highly and it will be interesting to see how they develop over the next 3 years. I think they could all end up taking the Cleverley route and landing in the first team before they turn 21/22. All three are quick with great ability on the ball in terms of touch and technique. Once they add the physical sides to their games they could well have a great chance of being future United players. Obviously nothing is guaranteed but they have a chance.

Next years reserves may be even better with the permanent inclusion of Blackett, Lawrence, Mcullogh and Charni. Add to that the increased involvement of other first year u18s such as Rothwell, Daehli, Barmby and Januzaj and you are left with a very strong group.

I actually did forget Cofie, but I cant see him getting in the team much anyway to be honest. Hopefully im wrong though. He's better off playing first team football every week on loan anyway.

what about the bench? - I think that prior to this season, Cofie was 'kingesque' at times. He was immense and then we go barely play him and loan him out. Hopefully he comes back and keeps up his improvement (and i'm king fan btw) Great talent.

Suffice to say, these teams could look different in a year or two. We've that many youngsters here and abroad, it's great.
