Thanks @Nanook - The outfield player kits never remind me of keepers, would we useful to see keeper kits, too, but can’t be bothered to search those. Same with away kits, would probably end up in very different players.

1992-94 - Hughes. I think because he was quite a big deal especially following the ECWC final and probably edged the replica shirt sales at the time.
1994-96 - Cantona
1996-98 - Split between Cantona - distinctive collar, iconic Sunderland goal - and the emergence of Beckham.
1997-2000 CL- Beckham
1998-2000 - Giggs
2002-2002- Keane looking like he means business with his shaved head and becoming increasingly less tolerant of everything
2002-2004 - Ruud
2004-2006- O'Shea
2006-2007- Scholes

The others haven't really crystallised in my memory in the same way, probably because they've been changed every season.
