Not funny!

Lighten up jsv, maybe your a beauty yourself.

the point is Chadwick sucks!i dont really give
a monkey's what he looks like but i do care
when he plays and disgraces the united shirt

Luke's barely been given a chance! An england U21, performs great in the reserves and that side, just needs to bulk up some weight and improve his crossing and shooting - hmmm, that reminds me of ryan giggs as a lad...

He's never going to be a regular, and to be honest, we need better back-up players than him if we want to turn the tide against Arse. He was a very promising youngster, but he hasn't delivered so far. He also wants first team footie, so its probably best for all parties concerned if we sell him off.

Don't forget the age that Giggs was playing regular first team footie and defences were scared of him. Chadwick tries but he really isn't going to make it.

I agree. PJ you are definitely off on saying he is "crap." You can't just have a team of all super stars. We need him as a squad player.

but he isn't satisfied being just a squad player. i'm amazed to see someone actually feels he can play on for becks and giggs. Chadwick is no class player, at best he is a good substitute.

if i were chad's advisers i'd tell him to sit tight and shut up. he's playing behind the two best wingers of the world and he still has a face to ask to play first team football? doesn't he know better?

May Ole can give him a lesson on how to come off the bench and be a superstar.

For a club like Man Utd, we should go out and get better cover for Giggs and Becks rather than Fortune and Chadwick. There are so many players out there better than them wanting to come to this club. God! what the hell are out scouts doing??

I believe it's tough to scout for good players wanting to sit on the bench. Also, teams that know Man United are after their players tend to overvalue their players making it harder to justify paying so much for simply a rotation player.

We all know how difficult the board can be when comes to buying second string players at expensive prices.

Furthermore, SAF always uses substitutes whom he knows will become an asset to the club in the future. He also only wants players who won't complain and can sit on the bench. Players who know they are capable of playing better football if they get to start in the first 11 will never be content on the bench. More problems for SAF... we don't want that do we...

If you don't care what he looks like why the topic heading?

You might have a valid opinion. I'd express it differently if I was you.

IMHO he is not going to cut it at United. Against good quality opposition, he has nothing that worries them. He is a squad player at best.

I would rather get him out and bring in Jimmy Davis as cover on the right.

We should keep him as long as he wants to stay, and bring him on as sub a bit more often when giggs or becks is having an off day. And get him in the gym. If he wants to leave for a first team place, good for him, you need ambition at that age, but he has had some good games for us which people seem to be forgetting. Why do people always judge players entirely on their last game?

Well he isn't playing regular, but i bet he still scares defences.

Chadwicks going to be a good usefull squad player, and he is at the best club to learn the trade. I remember when Giggsy started up brilliant young player, everyone talking about the new George Best.mmmmm still waiting.

Even if he's not a Bestie, he's still considered the be among the best United players of all time... you would not find the consistency Giggs has provided us from any other player in the league... as it is it's already difficult to find a good left winger.. except for Duff who hasn't been all that impressive either.

i'm sick of these 'promising' players who don't break through and then end up at derby/oldham and the like for half a million.

none of them have ever looked half decent at other clubs. you would think one would show how well he had been coached at some point.

The problem is that a player can look exceptional against his own age group where most of them will not make it in the amateur game let alone the professional game. The step up between youth football and reserve football is huge. The step up to first team football in the PL is massive. But the step up to the United first team is immeasureable. These days you have to be a truely exceptional youngster to really make it at United. Wes and JO'S are both exceptional younger players, but unfortunately a lot like Chadwick and Stewart are very good players but not exceptional. I have no doubt these players will have good PL careers.

strange that not a single decent side has tried to take any of those players mentioned though. they just don't seem to be in demand the way a wayne rooney or a damien duff might be. when is last time anyone BID for a united player?

Who knows, who cares. What makes you think that if someone bid for them and was turned down you would know about it?

it will probably be a waste of time anyway... i had wondered about it also at some point but then I realize that these players are not interested in a move either.

Once they make themselves available the way Greening did people will queue up to get them.

United is such a great club and these youngsters know they won't get better training than here... what's wrong with sitting out until they're 22 or 23 then make a move?

Fortune and Chadwick are able backup for positions we have trouble with when Giggs is injured etc. Ferguson says both Quinton and Luke have futures at OT and thats good enough for me.
