What do you reckon our goal difference will be at the end of the season?

Winner gets a Kenwood juicer.

11th or 12th in the league for goals scored. Leeds, Leicester, Brentford and Fulham have all scored more than us.

It's not good enough and could ultimately cost us top 4.

We don't score enough and a few heavy defeats have undone some good wins.

Depends very much on having luck with Martial's fitness. And whether we can replace Ronaldo in January. Which I doubt.

Our league situation is a bit strange tbh. 6 points below City after 14 games played? Not bad. 11 points below Arsenal though?? Hm.

26 points after 14 games - not bad. 0 GD? Bizarre.

It's not just this season. Our goal difference is zero over the last 58 PL games.

You can see the progression this season from the back end being sorted first, then the midfield, and as the manager observed they are now working on finishing. May get some help in Jan. Chances are we will be well outside top 4 in scoring but our goals allowed should be good. So goal differential will continue to improve as the season goes on. Won't be great but that's ok this team will still be in the mix for that top group.

Not too fussed about it.

If we win games by 1 goal I’m happy with that.

The most important thing is I’m seeing progress and improvement.

Last season it wound up at 15. I don't reckon we'll exceed that this season.

Maybe 10, if we're lucky?

What's also weird is we have played 13.

Won 8. Lost 5

Strange that we are the only team in the league that has not had a draw so far this season.

We don’t do draws in the Champions League or Carabao Cup either. So are we the only team in Europe that does this?

No. There are a bunch of teams with no draws. But their sample sizes are pretty small considering that they have only played 4 games each.

Leicester haven't drawn a game in the Championship either. All other 92 clubs have at least one draw!

In Pochettino's last season at Spurs, they only had 2 draws and none until March. So as it happened they lost 13 times, which would generally be mid-table fare, but actually ended up on 71 points which was good enough for 4th. By comparison, in Mourinho's first season United only lost 5 times and finished 6th. So this no drawing trend isn't a bad one for a league season.

Early Ferguson was a big believer in risking one point to gain two, which was against the grain a bit bearing in mind three points for a win had only been in for a few years. If that had been our recent policy I would have loved it. I guess it's just coincidence now though.

I banged on about this during Ole's tenure - it's so much better to try and win every game as one of the better teams because the points differential of +3,+1 or 0 favours winning. We drew so many games back then it just eroded any ability to genuinely close the gap to the top.

I reckon we'll creep up to double figures by the end of the season. Just about. +10.
