That must have hurt eh?

They're a feckin good team tho aren't they? And to do that to you in your own backyard with such high stakes, without some of their key players deserves respect..

Oh well..

Next year eh Mancs?

;)

i actually missed the game, bloody customer meeting, was the game any good.
Did the Arse boss the midfield or were they just a tad lucky??

Info please

Arsenal were top drawer. Can't argue with the result of the match, or with the result of the league.

Arsenal's defence is superb. I don't know if it's down to personnel, or to tactics/discipline, so maybe we need a defence coach as much as we do a defender. We do need a defender that communicates tho.

I agree, it would nice for SAF to have a decent number 2 (stop sniggering in the back there Davo)

You don't really want a manager to be too close to his team, he needs to be able to step back from time to time to asses what he is, or in this case isn't, doing properly.

Arsenal sadly have deserved their success this season. I don't think they DESERVED to win the actual game last night yet neither did we.

Yet they did, so fair play to them. I feared the worst as soon as it reached 25 minutes without us scoring.

I hope everyone noticed that the United players all went and congratulated the Arsenal players at the end, and that Sir Alex was not publicly a bad loser.

Hard work - they worked harder than us, with and without the ball. That was the main difference, and that combined with the suberb abilities they have make them a good team and one to admire.

It is touching that you can sympathise Davo - but then you know all about being beaten by the Arse at home.

Even after they gave you a chance and went down to 10 men.

As Wenger said they won the title that day at Anfield ;)

Listen to the half Manc..

Yeah, I freely admit Arsenal have been a lot better than us this season..they're a cracking team and fair play to them..

You know about losing to them at home an all don't you? 4-0 wasn't it?

That scoreline rings a bell you know...

;)

Congratulations to Arsenal they have been the best team this season, and are worthy champions.
Manchester United will be back though make no mistake about that. United for ever. :)

I think you will find we drew 1-1 at home and managed to beat the PL Champions on their own ground this season. <img src="graemlins/smirk.gif" border="0" alt="[Smirk]" />

Exactly.

Arsenal deserved to win the league on the back of their superb run, and United ran out of steam at the end of the day, they huffed and puffed last night, but never looked like like scoring.

The best team won the league, the table doesn't lie, but United will be back more determined than ever.

Story of our season in the big games, be it the defeats to Liverpool, Arsenal, Newcastle or Leverkusen. Out run, out fought, out thought.

Our work rate has been very disappointing this season. You can't give top quality teams the time and space on the ball as we have this season. It's one of the most fundamental requirements for a successful team - work your ass off to close down opponents, deny them space and don't let them play! It's footballing suicide if you don't do it - only Keano has consistently done it this season and that's not good enough!

The only big team/game we got away with it in was against Deportivo because they were as fecking lazy and disorganised when not in possession as we are......

I thought we worked damn hard last night, and closed them down superbly in the first half - but to no avail since they were defending very deep and organised and composed, there was no counter-attacking opportunity to be had - and we didn't help that by camping round there box.

It's good of you to admit it though although i can think of 90 other clubs in the league that have been better than you this season

;)

I remember someone trouncing you 4-0 apart from us...

Who was the other team that destroyed you at home?

Chelsea?

I'm sure someone else (other than ourselves) battered you 4-0 in your own backyard?

Perhaps I'm making it up...I can't be arsed to check...
