OT by yourself

Does anyone here go to matches completely by themselves, ie they dont go with anyone they know?

Cos, it seems pretty likely that that is what i will be doing in the very near future. Out of all my mates who (claim  ) to support United, i'm the only one who seems determined to get to a game. A 4 hour coach-trip by myself doesn't sound particularly inviting, but i'm prepared to do it, so i was just wondering if there is any others who go to matches completely by themselves?

The last two matches I've gone to have been on me own and I'm going to the Leverkusen game on me tod too! :( ! Billy no mates. :( . Actually all of my mates who do go to games are Liverpool supporters  .

Yes I go alone... I've heard about a billion excuses from people not to go to games

"Its too far"
"Its too expensive"
"you can watch it later on telly"

Cnuts. And they call themselves supporters.

Hmmmm your from Essex so you'll probably travelling with the branch if your going by coach, (pending on which part of Essex your from cos 2 branches run through it I think)

I travelled by myself to a few games when a mate of mine didn't go, I also travelled to all the away games I went to by myself so I know the position your in.

I used to just sleep on the coach so it didn't bother me too much, Im in Bolton for now though at uni so not travelling with my branch for a bit, when Christmas comes though, Il be about on the coaches dragging my bags to go home

:)

Well... I went to OT on my own last year, and lived in Manchester for 4 days... on my own!

I've gone to the pre-season-match against Brøndby in 98 on my own aswell (as it was played in Copenhagen it was quite far away)

Every time I can (i.e. not on work) I go to a pub 15-20 km's from my home to watch the lads live... on my own! - Sometimes a friend joins in, but happens only occasionally when we meet Arse or the Rent boys...
- I've been going to this pub like this for the past 3½ years now

- TBH I don't mind it anymore... It's fun when one of my friends is along... - But honestly I get more out of the game when I'm alone... Nothing to distract me you see...

Also, over the past year, I've become quite good friends with the bartenders at this place, and there's usually someone to share your happiness or frustrations with!

I know exactly what you mean, I travel usually when Im back home with a mate but we sit in completly different parts of the ground and I find that I'm more alert to the game with no distractions

:)
