Ex Argentina and Spurs player, Ossie Ardilles has given his support to United midfielder Juan Veron, saying...." if he stays at United, next season he will be player of the year".
I hope he is right. ;)

Well now, that just fills me with confidence.

This has been a very poor season to-date for Veron and I don't think things will change that dramatically between now and the end of the season.

I'm sure that alot of fans out there secretly know themselves that Veron hasn't performed to the standards that we expected for £28 million.

Next season however could be a completely different story for Veron but then again maybe the English game and stlye just don't suite the guy. Only time will tell but I'm sure that next season will be his last chance to prove himself, after that i think Frgie's patience will wear thin.

Best of luck to Veron and ARGENTINA in the World Cup ;)

If Keano needs surgery on his knee and gets it after the world cup he could be out for the first 6 months, leaving Veron to marshall the midfield. I think he'll do very well, without the forboding shadow of Roy looking over his shoulder.

My sentiments entirely, look at Juninho after he settled in.
Veron is of the highest class and ppl ought to remember that.

It's not a question of doubting his class. It's a question of him playing in the side at the expense of a player like Scholes, when Scholes is playing better at that particular time.

Asking silly questions usually gets silly answers, but what is wrong with Keano's knee? <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

A serious injury that occurs just before world cup games and clears up before big premiership games.
