After tonights showing and against Parma, i don't think he needs to be eased into the team. As far as i'm concerned as soon a Rio is fit, Put the two of them together. He has pace, height and an assurmed presence. We may have a partnership (in the making) to rival Bruce and Pallister. It may be early but after tonights showing lets be optimistic

Agreed I thought he was our best player at the back today. Outshone Larry by a mile. I think fergies thinking might be to get Larry to bed in Rio then have Rio and Oshea, but I think this just might take tooooo long. :( :(

Anyway I'm really hoping Wes will come thru this season, it will be really imp for him after the injuries he has had. Hope he recovers quickly.
Any onegot any news on him?

Thought that John O'Shea was excellent again. Think that he shows plenty of composure and best of all, plenty of hunger to prove himself. Like to see him get a sustained run. <img src="graemlins/devil.gif" border="0" alt="[Devil]" />

Yes, O'Shea looks class.

I only hope that when, and it will happen cause he's a young player who's only played about 10 games for us, he makes a mistake that will cost us a game, we don't turn against him.

all players make mistakes. Its how often they make them & how they come back from them that counts. From what ive seen of him, he seems to be a more relaxed assured character than Brown. I think he could handle it.
IMO.

Why would that happen. Look at the loyalty shown here when Barthez/Veron/Blanc/Gaz and Phil Neville/Sylvestre all make mistakes that lose us games.

I don't think O'Shea would give a damn what people say on this forum, and I doubt whether the others you mention lose any sleep either.

Somehow, I don't feel the people here represent a totally different set of opinion than the rest of the world.

So it isn't about caring of the opinions on the forum, but caring about the opinions of people period.

Our opinions are from what we see. Do you not think they would be representitive of what club members see?

We always turn on our own players for their mistakes ;) But let that fecking P Neville get a free transfer.
