I was just wondering what the site's stance is on the posting of streams?
Like many a lurker here, I enjoy the magical muppetry that can only be generated in match day threads. Be it vapid halfwits wanking themselves purple over bench-related pornography, or lunatics contemplating suicide unless we're 4 up by half time. I'm sure you'll all agree that the match day thread is the jewel in Red Cafe's glittering crown.
I like to settle down nice an early and soak up the pre game shenanigans: team sheet, predicted formations and whatnot.
A post will normally go up some 15 min before kick off requesting a PM for a link to a stream. Being a sucker, I used to happily reply with a link to a site that will not only provide a stream, but supply the user with a comprehensive tutorial in just what is needed to "tune" their PC to receive seamless streams in the future. I'd get a short thankful reply to my PM, and think nothing more of it.
However, I've noticed that it seems to be the same people who've had the links delivered to them, along with the most important secret known to man-the ability to watch live premiership football, for free, via a PC, anywhere in the world!-are up again the following game asking for PM's linking to streams!
I don't know if I'm maybe underestimating the stupidity of some people, but you shouldn't need a second PM. That wonderful box that sits in your house has not only the ability to deliver you untold gigs of porn and music, it can give you free televised football. Why do you need to be told twice, or, as it seems in the match day thread, every fecking week?
I understand that legally it's a grey area, and that the FA's bogeyman waits in the shadows, but isn't it about time that someone provided a sticky tutorial in the match day forum, or the whole idea is shunned and we pretend that the technology doesn't exist?
