RE5 will be released March 13th 2009 (Which is a Friday!), in NA and Europe and the 12th March in Japan.

4 was the best in the series for me. Hope we see more of Wesker in 5 though.
 
5 looks good. 1, 2 & 4 were awesome. Although I remember finishing 2 about 4 hours after getting it home from the shop, it was bloody short! I didn't think 4 would live up to the hype but it is pretty special. The snake in the attic of 1 is the scariest thing I've seen in a game, it proper shit me up.

Couldn't really get into 3 or Veronica.
 
2 was actually my least favourite of the series. I thought Nemesis was a superb enemy and really enjoyed 3. 4 was the best though, and I'm confident 5 will surpass 4.
 
Oh my fecking god that looks incredible. I thought 4 was good but that looks like it's gonna go way beyond it!
 
That was good to the extent that it was almost arousing which is a bit disturbing considering the amount of dead people and guts flying around.
 
I agree with that to an extent. One of the things that spoilt 4 was the ease at which you came across ammo, in the previous 3 you couldn't just kill everything you saw and you had to conserve your ammo. In 4 the more you killed the more ammo you seemed to get. Hopefully they have rectified this in 5.
 
I remember using up ammo and not replacing it as much, to make things more difficult. I had to kill the scorpion man thing in the cave using just the knife..

I've not played four, but agreed about 3 and Code Veronica. Three was a huge disappointment after 2. 2 was short but you had to finish both characters to get the full story. . . I think I completed it under 3 hours without any saves to get the gatling gun (obviously not first time). Loved the way it started, Leon/Claire on the streets surrounded by zombies and burning cars. Brilliant game. Probably not as scary as the first one, though.
 
I've still got a GC knocking about somewhere in the house. I guess it's best to get a Wii for RE4.
 
Well, I know you've been contemplating getting a Wii for a while, so why not. Did you play the RE1 re-make on GC? That was brilliant aswell, may favourite behind 4.
 
I forgot about that game. Yeah, the re make was indeed brilliant. Although nothing beats playing the original for the first time. I think, when FF7 gets re made, people'll probably say the same thing.

Yeah, FF7 the first time round was superb, although the translation was horrible. Hopefully (if) the game gets re-made, they'll sort that out.
 
Resi 4 was the best, this looks to be in the same mould so I have high hopes.
