now that ole ahs scored a mitey 100 goals! wot do u tink is best goal has been in a united shirt?

His winner in Barcelona. Not just for the meaning of it but the skill involved. People have never actually said it was a great goal, but it was a top-class strike, if a bit lucky. One of his goals at the City Ground in 99 when he went past the keeper and hit it in to the top corner from 20 yards. Hes a legend. :D

Yep -- still gives me the shivers that when I see it or hear it!

His goal in Barcelona '99. The speed of his reaction to get a foot on the ball was amazing combine that with the fact that it was the winner in a European Cup Final.
The aspect that makes ole a legend is the timing of his goals. He very rarely scores when we are already 2 or 3 goals up.

Not rarely but he doesn't score that often when United is 2-3 up simply because either he's the 1st to score when he starts or is on the bench & only comes on when United are down or scoreless & needs to break the duck! :(

In terms of importance, of course the '99 UEFA Champs winner sticks out in mind, but I also loved his last minute FA Cup winner against Liverpool in the same season when United was 0-1 down & with 2 minutes left only, & then bam!bam! Yorke equalised & the match heading for a replay till Ole showed up at the right place again! ;)

In terms of pure skills, it's hard to beat last season's 1st goal against Charlton when United were being held 0-0 till Keane's 60 yard pass found Ole at the edge of the box, & the latter, without breaking stride, immediately killed the ball & in one fell swoop, pushed past 2 Charlton defenders & curled the ball past the keeper to the far post! Great goal & it kept United's EPL Championship hopes alive.

Take your pick from his first ever against blackburn one of his 15 minute 4 against forest or his winner against munich.

too many to mention, he saved us so many times it's hard to say which one is the best.
I agree that his greatest goal is the winner in Barcelona, but my personal favorit is his equaliser a few season back against Liverpool. We were trailing 1 - 0 when a long ball was lofted upfront. Ole and a pool defender were chasing the ball, and the pool player is already in front of him and look like to get to the ball first when suddenly in a split second Ole nip in front of him to take the ball and scored from an almost impossible angle. Top class strike..
His instinct and ability to get front of defenders is just unbelieveable.

one of his 15 minute 4 against forest

Oh Yeah! And that brings to mind his 4 against Everton when United were 0-1 down & Bosnich subbed early because of injury!

The best goal I've ever seen him score was was for Norway before he joined us, a volley from about 20 yards out.

Too many to mention for us - I liked the one against Charlton last season though

Too many. The most memorable is always gonna be "And Solskjaer has won it".

Does anyone remember one he scored against chelsea in the 1997/98 season. He was on the left side of the area, 20 yards from goal, he cut inside a defender and curled it past the keeper into the top right hand corner. Its just one that has always stuck in my memory. He scored a very similar one against sheff wed the following week tho not quite as good.

Didnt mind his comeback goal vs Chelsea few years back @ OT.

YES! curler into the top left corner? SCORCHIO! gets my vote.

First against Derby County at OT last year.

Ipswich, OT, 2000 - you could see Fergie mouth "what a fecking goal".

And overhead pre-season goal - against Shrewsbury I think.

Oh, and Bordeaux.

I hope they do a video.

Another brilliant one was in a home match against Sturm Graz, in the first group stage in 1999/00 (2-1). The ball came to him at the edge of the box, he just swung his foot and volleyed it home. Simplicity and sheer class all in one.

Oh, it's the second one isn't it? I remember that! The commentator was saying, "Now, that's almost football from another planet!" :D
