Ole Legend Solskjaer

What a finish.

Never seen anything like him.

Best finish?

For me against Lille away last year top corner with his left peg first time from an absurd angle.

In David Beckham, Paul Scholes, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Diego Forlan, Roy Keane we have a bunch of players who can finish from a distance in style... Keep up the shooting guys!!

a perfect example of what Sir Bobby said, while others would ponder their next move Olle just sticks it home <img src="graemlins/keano.gif" border="0" alt="[Keano]" />

I hope there will be a video of all his United goals because I think quite a lot of them will have been overlooked because of the obsession at the time with Cole and Yorke.

One thing is sure - if you wanted to pick your best Solskjaer goal, you'd be spoilt for choice, but for starters, there's the one against Ipswich couple of seasons back where he showed the most amazing control (please note ManUsteve), and there was a shot of Fergie and it was very easy to lip-read "What a fecking goal!"

But one that sticks out in my mind was the one against Bordeaux when he'd just got on the pitch and we'd been struggling to break them down.

And not sure if I'm right about this, but I think Ole has scored against every team in the PL now.

Anyone remember the goal against Everton?
Long ball from Beckham, Ole took it down with the sweetest touch, and hammered it past the goalkeeper. I remember the commentator saying something like "every schoolboy in England should watch this goal, because it's the perfect example of ball control..
and how about his goal against Villa in the FA Cup last season? absolutely out of nothing! and to think we're 2-0 down before the goal and went on to win 3-2 is amazing.
Or his thunderbolt against Charlton from outside the penalty box in the treble season?
My personal favorite of Ole goals comes from a few season back in the home game against Liverpool.
We were trailing 1-0 when a long ball was lofted upfront. Ole and a Pool defender chased the ball and it looked like the defender was going to get the ball first. But somehow in a split second, Ole managed to nipped in front of him and scores from a tight angle to make it 1-1.
I wasn't the prettiest of goals but it just show you what a predator he is in the penalty box.

Would I have beaten tabloid journos to the punch if I called him Goal-le Solskaer?
:D

Oli is total class, his feet are so fast, fecks the defenders up big time, he is currently my fav player.
He is also a great lad off the field. Made my bro a nice cup of tea when he was fixing Olis telephone.
Im so glad he turned down the move to spurs, even when he was not first choice. A true pro

 Is that all you have to say?

Like what's his house like - and what's the address and the phone number. ;)

I also reckon that the Lille goal was his best. He was moving away from the goal and then BANG. Pure class.

the quarters of the fa cup vs. the dippies, we'd just drawn level via cole/yorke and then ole popped up with the last kick of the game.

oh and there was another close-range finish in another cup competition, a final in spain i think...

He has a big feck off house, with a big feck off dog,
and my bro didnt tell me which house in "Bramhall" he lived in. He did not tell me what his phone number was, how ever...if i had taken noticed of the number that was on my phone when my bro phoned me up , telling me that he was phoning from Olis house on Olis phone, i would not have passed it on in here anyway :p OOOh and i forgot, he still lives with his parents. Or actualy, his parents moved in with him.

he lives on the same estate...which pete, bruce and pallister live on.(been there, my cousin was their paper boy)

Is it?! Or does the wink indicate that you're telling porkies.

And I never knew where Andrei lived either - unfortunately. Maybe I should try and find out - he's only in Sussex.

I should hope not. It should be solely for my info.

Against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge a couple of years back...97/98/99...came on after 75+ minutes, high ball from the right, takes it down on his chest, half volley supercurled right foot finish glued to the far right corner...first touch on the ball...VAN BASTEN springs to mind...PURE CLASS!!!!!!
:D
