Can anyone confirmed whether Ole goal against WBA is his 100th?

Nope, it's definitely his 100th cos' the one against Bayer Leverkusen is credited as an own goal in the end. UEFA confirmed it. So Ole's sweet strike against WBA is his 100th. Well done Ole! :D

Ole

"I took my time because I was actually waiting for the referee to blow the whistle because I thought I might have been offside, but I wasn't so I took my chance and scored. I thought we showed a lot of character and that was something we lacked last year, when we didn't grind out results but this time we did. West Brom made it very difficult for us on Saturday, they were very sound defensively."

Well done

When did UEFA confirm it? It was only on Wednesday they said UEFA had credited to Ole.

How many of those hundred were from the bench by the way? ;)

Maybe he should now teach Ruud how not to be caught off-side...& at the same time, how to put the ball into the net!

Well, almost 80% were scored when he stated!

well done Ole!!!

Last season his finishing was outstanding !

However he was also being caught off-side quite a few times then but the frequency of his goals more than compensated for it.

In the first 2 games of the new season, his rate of being pulled up has worsened ( at least 5-6 times each match! ) whilst at the same time, he's been missing a couple of sitters in each of those games when he was put clear through.

It is very frustrating to see potential build-ups constantly spoilt by a striker unable to keep on-side - once or twice in a match is acceptable, but 5-6 times?

In fact I believe Ole had a goal disallowed against Zalaegerszeg because of Ruud being caught off-side as attributed by the match commentator.

And whilst Ole was on-side when scoring against West Brom, Ruud was again in a similiarly off-side position but luckily this time, was deemed not interfering with play by the 'linesman'.

I was just stating that Ole showed how to keep onside & also put the ball in. ( How many times has Ole been caught off-side compared to Ruud or Cole b4 him? )

I must add that I have nothing against Ruud & wud dearly love for Ruud to re-discover his goal- scoring form & prove that the misses were only early season rustiness!

what the bleedin hell?!?!?!?! it's only 1 game into the season and you're already moaning about ruud being off his game?!?!?! this forum's becoming a bloody laugh zone with some of the most idiotic posts around!!!!!

It's 2 games FYI jedi.

Or do you think European games don't count??

This intolerance for a different opinion is so pathetic! <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" /> <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" /> <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" /> <img src="graemlins/lol.gif" border="0" alt="[Laugh Out Loud]" />

I'm sure I read/heard it some where. Even Fergie congratulated Ole on his 100th goal so I can't be wrong. :D

The match commentator was mentioning that the Bayer was counted as an own goal by UEFA eventually & therefore the WBA goal was Ole's 100th!

In all honesty folks does it really matter whether he's scored 100 or 101. The guy is a legend, the best natural goalscorer we've had since Law. His loyalty his unbelieveable. To spend 70% of the season on the bench. I've never heard him complain once. Look at liverpool, they tried to do the same with Litmanmen last season and today he's said he wants out.
