Hi, bit of a strange one for the forum maybe but I am taking my lad to his first game on Sat against Brentford and wanted him to see the players arrive. Anyone know what time this would be these day's for a 3 o clock kick off?

I was thinking this is likely to be 1:30-2 hrs before kick off but not sure. If anyone does this and has any idea it would be appreciated :)

I think it's probably more like 3-4 hours before to be honest? I heard somewhere it's around 4 but don't quote me on that as that seems really early.

How many eggs are you and your lad taking between you?

Did the same last year it was about 4 hours...Have a look at planetfaz on twitter he documents most arrivals so you can get a sense of time and what it looks like

Yeah, 3+ hours is more likely these days.

The team no longer stay in the Lowry hotel the evening before a fixture. So pre-match preparations happen at OT instead - meaning an earlier arrival time.

I suppose 3-4 could be realistic actually as I am sure I read the pre-match meal and tactics etc are done at OT now.

In terms of eggs, one in each pocket for me but the lad is still a virgin when it comes to the disappointments I have endured over the last 10 years so he ain't got a clue yet and hopefully ive endured the worst for him

I took my lad to his first game against Wolves under Rangnick, what a mistake that was.
It’s difficult to find a fixture we’re almost guaranteed to win these days though, just got to hope for the best.

Ha Ha this is also true, I was wondering whether now was the time but he keeps asking and when I saw the weather was decent on Sat I thought lets do it.

I actually thought we played well in large parts of the game on Weds, just lack of concentration and mistakes cost us (again). So there is hope for Sat...

When my wife was pregnant, the woman running one of the baby classes we went to had just taken her two boys to their first game.

It was the 5-0 loss at home to Liverpool.

Apparently they were crying after the fourth went in.
