Now that Woodward has gone, will the stadium finally be looked at?

Gary Neville even mentioned on Sky that OT is an absolute shithole.

The whole place needs gutting and a complete overhaul needs doing.

We are the only giant club that hasn’t had a revamp or one planned.

The lick of paint done in the tunnel was only for the YouTube channel ‘Tunnel Cam’
series and it still looks pathetic when compared to others.

Top of the wish list for me

I doubt the Glazers will be buying new players much less doing a revamp

Glazers won’t be spending a penny this summer, on transfers or infrastructure.

In America, the city/government/taxes pay for stadiums.

No way the Glazers would use their own money to do it.

Of fecking course they do. Just a bit more socialism for the mega-rich and hard nosed bootstraps capitalism for everyone else. Wankers.

The stadium is lightyears behind some of our competitors, but a refurb will never happen while the Glazers are at the club.

That piece on The Athletic a few weeks ago said Mourinho was flabbergasted when he joined United and saw the rundown state of the stadium and training facilities - we're a club that needs some serious updating.

Stadium needs huge investment or we maybe even need a new stadium. To do that we’d need to borrow money but we’re already laden with debt so only money spent will be on patching it up.

That's cute with the red haired rats at the helm

If you think Woodward stepping down will change anything to do with the running of the club whilst the Glazers are in charge, then you really don't understand the mess we are in.

The Glazers like collecting money. They don't like spending it.

Would love to see some money spent on the stadium as it has seen better days and really needs modernising in some areas. However given the current events it seems unlikely that Glazers are likely to pump a lot of money into the club unless they want to make a goodwill gesture to the fans after the whole super league debacle.

I haven't been since LvGs 2nd season, and it was a tip then too. Rusty, dirty, the roof was leaking... Back when they took over the club, it was the best in the country. It's been left to deteriorate whilst being swiftly overtaken by other new/refurbished grounds.

0% chance anything will happen anytime soon though.

To be fair stadiums cost a fortune, the Glazers do not have the liquidity for it. Unless if we are talking about something small.

The Glazers won’t spend a penny on the stadium, don’t get your hopes up.

3 of the 4 stands were built in the last 30 years. It's not that bad. The south stand is around since the mid 60s. It should have been replaced years ago.

You heard them. They believe the current way football is run is unsustainable, yet they will invest in the stadium? Not a chance.

Looks like we will still be using that fax machine for a bit longer yet.

We've essentially forced the Glazers to give up hundreds of millions. We will be lucky if they buy Old Trafford new corner flags

The Glazers were banking on 'Big Picture' and 'ESL' to bear fruit, so the money from that would be used to pay for the improvements.

They wouldn't have payed for any improvements anyway.

The extra money from this super League will have just gone into their pockets.

This is where the Glazers have annoyed in the most.

Old Trafford and the surroundings is a a outdated, tired sh*thole.

But unfortunately its one of the lessor talking points when it clearly shouldn't be.

Match going fans represent a minority of United fans so the stadium is much less of a concern than big signings and winning titles.

Moreover, Old Trafford has the highest capacity in the PL so people don't discuss the need for something new like they did with Spurs or they sometimes do with Chelsea.

It definitely needs a lot of work done to get back to the standards it had when it was one of the best in Europe. Saying that, when you're stood in the stands singing it's still an unbelievable experience

Imagine what work could have been done on the stadium with the amount the Glazers have stolen from the club.

You'd be looking at a totally different place

When was the last significant piece of work carried out on OT? The upper quadrants on SAF-Stretford and SAF-East? That’s like 15 years ago now.

I still think its baffling theres no escalators all the way into the heavens of the north stand. I mean im pretty fit but that trek up there is just a nuisance.

Our ground ain’t too bad when compared to the rest of the league, it’s just that people keep comparing the place to Man City, Arsenal, Spurs etc who have either had a complete rebuild or moved grounds so obviously ours will look dated.
