How are people getting my email?

When I was in the newbies, I started getting emails from other members. How they found my email I'll never know (but would like to). I recently logged into my emails to find that people from the RedCafe had been emailing me anoymously. Whether this is the mods/admins pissing about or Members that have somehow found my email doing this I don't know.

All the messages say is: "RedCafe is great, you are not, feck OFF!!!"

I want this to stop. Now.

I also want to know how people have found my email address out.

People don't need to find out your email address to send you emails via the caf. There's an option on your profile page to email you. Click on it and you'll see what I mean.
 
Go to the Edit Options screen of your user CP, and remove the tick in the box that says something like "Allow other users to send you emails"

How do you email someone anonymously ? And is anonymously the most annoying word in the English language to try and spell?
 
Someone's taking the piss and you're giving them exactly what they want, a reaction. Delete whatever e-mail you know is dodgy the same way you would any spam.

Out of curiosity, do you seriously believe the mods/admins would piss about in this manner?
 
didn't you post pics of a girl you knew here and asked people would they shag her? ... proof that was goes around comes around, no sympathy for you mate, so stop throwing your toys around and the emails will most likely stop
 
Your email address is easily accessible on the net so it's not suprising you are getting mail.

Unlucky mate, don't think there is much you can do seen as your details are accessible online including your bebo account or whatever, that you helped bring to attention. You're just going to have to hope it stops, it will, just ignore it.

Last resort is to change your email address.

No, the idiot should just turn it off if he doesn't want e-mauils sent through the Caf. When you send an e-mail through the Caf, nobody actually sees your e-mail. He's being a tit, and everyone should have special e-mail account for giving out crap and registering on the net instead of using their main one. My main e-mail account has never got spammed once, apart from when someone I knew didn't take enough care and spyware read his address book because the idiot used a microsoft e-mail client.
 
The only way this could have happened through the caf that I can think of is that someone sent him an email through the caf back when he did have the feature on and he was foolish was enough to reply. The reply would have his email address.
