Cos City are a MASSIVE club

Promoted for less than a week and the reasons to love City are flooding back already. No not just the comfortable 6 point cushion we would have if they were back ;) but the diversion they offer from the incessant transfer bullshit that surrounds United has to be reason enough.

Yup, we all know they're a fantastic club and it is every player in world football's ultimate goal to be worshipped by the Kippax Massive, but in Keegan they finally have a manager who shares the fans dreams and aspirations of returning City to their rightful position [Fill in your own obvious punchline here] and this time they will let nothing (age, finance, fading ability etc) stand in the way of their dream as they pursue "fresh" blood for next years assault on the premiership crown . Already City are chasing the signatures of Davids & Effenberg simply because both ageing stars have said they would like a swansong in the Premiership, alongside other rumoured transfers including Stam, Robbie Keane and Ian Walker.

Some of Red Cafes more transfer obsessed posters are also apparently being approached with a view to offering them life membership, a laser blue kappa kit, an inflatable alien and a guarantee that any whim buys they feel the club should make will be honoured in exchange for them swapping their allegiance and swelling City's already massive support .

The name George Weah just keeps springing to my mind as I prepare myself for the raw footballing entertainment that is Manchester City, Welcome back boys for City truly are a Massive Club.

They're going up
They're going down
They're going up
They're going down
They're going up

They're going down

Some suggestions for the Massives to sign this Summer:

Defence:
The Arsenal backline, no, not Campbell or Cole, but Winterburn, Adams, Keown and Dixon

Midfield:
Ginola - with Keegan thier, you know it's true!!
McAllister - though to be looking for a new club after a season winning feck all...
Big Time Charlie - face it, they're not going to get Davids, but Incey would love a "challenge"

Attack:
Weah? nah, too old, but Bierhoff or Bergkamp sound very possible...

There we have it, the 2 former England managers managing the oldest teams in the Premiership

I think Keegan is trying recreate the 1994 United side.

They're certainly not having Giggsy or Gazza

From the article above
HOW ABOUT THESE CAST-OFFS?

After signing Peter Schmeichel and targeting Paul Ince, here are some other potential cross-Manchester signings for Kevin Keegan to consider:

LEE SHARPE. Age: 30

One time United golden boy, but love of a good party meant he fell from favour with Alex Ferguson. Recently given a free transfer by Bradford City.

MARK ROBINS, Age 32

Scored 16 goals this season for Rotherham - so why not?

KAREL POBORSKY, Age 30

Currently in fashion conscious Italy with Lazio, and memories of his flowing locks would give Keegan the Mullet King a run for his money.

GEORGE BEST, Age 55

Like Schmeichel, he could show off a European Cup medal won with Manchester United against Benfica, and the Northern Ireland genius can currently be found in a Sky TV studio on Saturday afternoons.

I just love it!
