Manchester United's Spanish stopper Ricardo Lopez is in the starting eleven for the reserves as they take on Bradford at Moss Lane tonight (Thursday).

The Reds will be hoping for a repeat of last year's fixture against the Bantams, when the reserves put seven past Bradford in an emphatic 7-2 victory - the biggest win for the stiffs last term on their way to the FA Premier Reserve League championship.

O'Shea, May, Timm, Stewart, Fortune (2) and Webber got the goals to give United victory.

This time around, Mike Phelan's men will be hoping to build on the hard-earned point won against rivals Liverpool last week.

Nardiello, who scored in the 1-1 draw with Liverpool, continues up front, but Matthew Williams come in for Diego Forlan. Kris Taylor also makes the starting line-up.

United: Ricardo; Lynch, Tierney, Roche, May; Taylor, Chadwick, Stewart, Pugh; M Williams, Nardiello. Subs from: Collett, B Williams, Poole, Mooniaruck, Cogger, Heath.

No Fletcher, Richardson or Timm tonight. anyone know why.

Being stuck in America this week, can someone please keep us updated with the match.

God I am missing MUTV!.

Only just got in, we're 1-0 up at half time, Bradford had more shots on goal it seems, but we had much more off target. Looking at the highlights at half time, they say Nardiello and Pugh have played well, Pugh almost scoring. Ricardo has made at least one great save. Stewart was through on goal but didn't get it past the keeper. Stewart though made amends to score the goal after chadwick played him in - scored right before half time.

Nardiello also had a great volley from far out which hit the post. Looking at the goal, Chadwick was making a run, got tackled, immediately tackled back and ball fed back to Chadwick who squared it to Stewart to convert.

Stewart has a high looping shot which the keeper jumps up to save, which is challenged by Matty Williams, their keeper drops the ball and Matty sticks it in the back of the net, but ruled out as a foul.

Another couple of chances, mostly pot shots, good pressure though. Pugh hit a thunderous drive, going just wide.

Nardiello hits a lovely curling shot which hits the post. On the break they force Ricardo to come out and save at a striker's feet.

Chris Humphreys, 10 minutes after coming on for his reserves debut, slams the ball into the net from a lovely through ball from Chadwick, to put us 2-0 up.

Chadwick's so influential in the reserves side, I wish he could do that at first team level. His passing, control and ideas are excellent.

No one ever mentions Mooniaruck either, buts he's a great prospect also making his reserve debut, and having a great one. Great ability, and crossing.

Not yet, I hope its not long before he does. He's young, but physically big enough already.

Felt sorry for you! How long you been out there?</strong><hr></blockquote>

Since Sunday. Missing football like crazy.

Thankfully I have good access to the internet for the news (and last nights match). I like the reserve games though and watch most of them on MUTV.

It was funny today, somebody asked me why we call Soccer, football. I pointed out that it was because for 90% of the time the players use their feet to make contact with the ball. I then pointed out the American football was strange as they hardly use their feet in the game!!!. He saw the errors of his ways!. I never asked why only American teams play in the world series.

Glad to hear that he is playing well in the reserve. But he still need to improve his physical aspect if he wants to perform in first team level.

Thats his only real problem, it can't be that hard surely for them to get his weight up.
