I hear there is a site where you can buy tickets off season ticket holders.

Any Idea what it is??

Or where is the best place to buy tickets for games. Is it the club sites??

I get my tickets through ticketmaster.com

Who are you trying to see?

I went last week for the NY Yankees against the Boston Red Sox at Yankee Stadium. It was fun - no crowd segregation, and drinks allowed when you're in your seats

:D

You could try ticketmaster.com. They have tickets for just about everything.

MLB.com has sites for every team where you can buy tickets.

There are usually unofficial team sites with areas for purchasing tickets from fans, including some season ticket holders. If you wanted tickets for the NY Yankees, you could go to nyyfans.com.

There are also ticket brokers in most cities with access to really good seats. Outside the games, there are scalpers and people trying to sell extra tickets, often at cost.

It all really depends on what team you want to see and who they are playing. Tickets are a harder to get for the Yankees in NY and on the road and for the Red Sox in Boston. Baltimore, Seatlle and St. Louis also draw well, but scalpers are more reasonable. Almost anywhere else would be no problem.

Did you go to Stan's before or after the game? It can get pretty crazy in there for Sox games.

I'm looking tickets for the San Fran Giants - for September.

Last game of season.

I was told of some site which season ticket holders put their tickets online when they are not being used.

Stan's? I went to the Yankee Tavern, and it was pretty packed - nothing like The Tollgate before a United match though.

I was told that Yankees / Red Sox was a violent rivalry, but all that happened was a few people shouted "Boston Sucks". Biggest rivalry in sports - yeah right. Just like the "Yankees fans would kick the ass of your soccer hooligans"

I guess one would need a beer or eight in order to cope with watching the Yankees ;)

Meanwhile, the Braves had a terrible start but they are warming up and are 35-17 now :)

Once Sammy Sosa was caught using a corked bat, the big question was: Was he cheating when he hit any of those 505 home runs? Me I think it was a mistake but I guess people will wonder about all his home runs after this.

I'm wondering. I suppose we should believe him when he says that he didn't use any muscle enhancers too. Roger Maris is the true record holder. The Hall of Fame has 4 of Sosa's bats. They should x-ray those.

Maybe right now. Yanks aren't playing well right now.

Baz, tickets probably won't be hard to get for that game except in the unlikely event that it means something in the standings. I haven't hear of such a site, but you should probably check ebay a little before the game.

If the game doesn't affect the standings, you should buy tickets outside the stadium right before the game from scalpers or somebody with extras and could probably get good seats at less than face value. Just negotiate with them and never accept their first price and make sure that you know what the tickets should look like so that you don't get stuck with counterfeits.
