Last season I kept hearing how he was the best thing since sliced bread and that he was better than Keano, Vieira hell the best in the world.

This season has truly shown the dippers that to be a world class player, you got to turn it on season after season

So scouse mutt-heads, guard your tongues in the future before you start mouthing off about "world class" this and "best in the world" that

I agree. Gerrard did show a flash of brilliant sometimes but overall he was well below his standard this season. I wonder the pressure has finally get to him? It is also doing him no good for the pool switch his position so frequently (CM, RM, RB, ....)
 
Gerrard is the most overrated player in the country, i'd have Butt or Parlour in my team before him.

He hasnt played his best for patches this season, so what? Which player plays well for 50 odd games?

Cant remember Scholes playing well for too many games, or Keane, or RVN or Veron or... Still, you consider them world class...

If you want Butt in your team rather than Gerrard, then you truly must be a total idiot who doesnt know a thing about football...

yes, gerrard is going through a relatively bad patch.
BUT, he's 21 years old playing in the most crucial role on the pitch. if u wanna delude yourselves that he's just a one season wonder, carry on. take away your bias and you know that he's special. he pi55ed over keane twice last season, and again in the CS and league this season-were they fluke performances....?

Gerrard is a talented player, no doubt about it. He is likely to have dips in form every now and then. Only time knows how good he will end up being.

No not at the start of the season he was great than, he has'nt played up to his standards for the last couple of months where he's hit a bad patch, does'nt mean his not quality though
