Manchester United and Liverpool set to battle for French Under-17 striker

MANCHESTER UNITED are planning to make a move for Paris Saint-Germain academy player Odsonne Edouard, according to reports.

Clubcall claim United will attempt to sign the 17-year-old if he rejects a new deal with the French club.

Edouard was the top scorer at this summer’s European Under-17 Championship and scored a magnificent hat-trick for France in the final versus Germany.

Louis van Gaal's team scouted Edouard during his club's 5-2 win against Shakhtar Donetsk in the UEFA Youth League in midweek.

United are expected to face competition from Premier League rivals Liverpool for the signature of the Frenchman.

Edouard has been at PSG since 2011, but he is yet to make a first team appearance for the club.

He could follow in the footsteps of 19-year-old Anthony Martial, who has made a massive impact at Old Trafford since joining from Monaco in the summer.

United sign young French player, therefore, they must be interested in another. We need to make the story interesting, so, their biggest rivals are also after him. and publish.

He looks special. I hope he signs for PSG and doesn't feck off like Coman.

PSG have a uruguay midfielder whose name escapes me touted as one of the best talents in the world. Can you tell more about him? Also do you think these players will get chances?

I'm not aware of an Urugayan youth midfielder in PSG, we were linked with Kevin Mendez last year but he joined AS Roma. We have almost only youngsters from around Paris in the academy, I'll keep an eye on it, maybe there's another player I don't know in the younger categories.

Rabiot is the only regular this year with significant playing time but some others had chances: Augustin (CF), Ongenda (AM), N'Kunku (CM) and Kimpembe (CB). It's not easy to earn a spot in our roster as we have good quality all over but the most talented will definitely have some chances to prove themselves. We also have a few players on loan.

I hope Blanc gives them even more opportunities in the cups or in Ligue 1 since the title is almost already secure, for example instead of Lavezzi who is leaving this summer or Stambouli who is not really good enough in the long run.

He is absolutely class, have seen him a lot. Looks so much better than his age. Powerful and a good finisher. Would love to sign him.
