Oasis

First album was good. Assholes after that.

Saw them in Slane just bofore they got really famous in 1996, supoprting REM, they were brilliant, First album is a classic bit hit and miss after that..

Have you watched there new DVD
Dont know why you like them so much - they fecked up Rooney's Les Paul guitar - the present Colleen got him for his Birthday - that she wanted signed - but the Noel cnut made a bollox out of it and sent it back to him in Sky Blue colours.

And he has the neck to regard himself as "more popular than Jesus" well, Jesus wouldnt go wrecking an expensive classic guitar now would he?

As a music man and great guitarist - Noel Gallagher is a disgrace!

Come on that guitar joke was a funny prank even Rooney laughed about it.

I do agree that the last 3 or 4 albums have not been great but you can take great songs from them. The Masterplan is a brilliant song.

Oasis are pretty much a band for people who don't play music themselves I think. They're the kind of band which gets people into rock music, some stick with them, others progress to better things. Not that there's anything wrong with them; we need populist bands like this.

Not really my thing...think they're pretty boring.

True to an extent I think. But then there are loads of guitar players (acoustic ones especially) who learn guitar just so they can play some of Noel's lines, and are content with that.

But I see your point - Joy Division/New Order influenced me enormously to play bass guitar, but now that I've learned all that, I've moved on to more challenging stuff.

Def Maybe was excellent once. Havent listed to it for some time - though sometimes I listen to a song or two off it.

From there is was a steady decline. What's The Story was still a decent enough album but was clearly inferior. The next one after that I bought but barely ever listened to and I havent really thought about them since, to be honest.

I never had you down as a bassist Gazza...infact apart from Kinky i think i assumed no one played an instrument on here.

oasis are the fecking bollocks.

Nigh on 3 years now... I'm trying to set up my recording system so I can put some examples of me playing online, too many cables though!

Noodlehair posted a guitar track a while back. I think he's own of Noel's disciples too I think.

Couple of years ago I had a ticket to see Oasis and Kasabian, but I bailed on the last minute cos I had to walk my dog. In retrospect I may have made the wrong decision. :o
