I think Fergie used it as an excuse to get rid of Keane. He was beginning to age, injuries we're catching up with him and was a big personality in the dressing room that I think Fergie wanted to remove. The video was probably an opportunity that Ferguson decided to make the most of.

Definitely , plus the form we win in during that period wasn't great. From the outside, and with Chelsea looking dominant, it really did look like our and SAF time was up.
And I feel SAF didnt want more media scrutiny levelled at the club (with this interview).
