From where did they get this information? If it was an agent trying to get a deal for his client, understandable. But this?

Gabriel Obertan could be on his way out of Manchester United Football Club in January.

The French youngster was a surprise signing for Sir Alex Ferguson last summer, when he was plucked from Bordeaux in a £3million transfer.

Obertan has been easing himself into life in England, and this season has so far played twelve times in all competition for the Premier League leaders.

However, many United fans are yet to be convinced by the 21-year-old, who is now being linked with a January transfer to Bayern Munich or Werder Bremen.

The Bundesliga giants are believed to have been keeping tabs on the France Under-21 ace, but it is unlikely Ferguson will be interested in listening to offers just yet.

That article is wrong on so many levels.

The journalist is a confused soul.
 
It takes special kind of person to write a completely made up article and still somehow make the first and last sentences completely contradict each other.
 
Is the source (I'm assuming fansfc) at all reliable?

Seems like it's just transfer muppet central. I mean, they have a full 'speculation list'.
 
wouldn't exactly see this as a huge loss if it happened

much more tolerable than the Park to Bayern rumors
 
This is from Tribalfootball, I'm not sold on Obertan but I doubt he'll be cut loose yet.
