That was the third part of the 'Trilogy' if I remember.
They wanted to make some sort of epic music video, so they chose the 3 songs - Don't Cry, November Rain and Estranged to all run together to tell a story of relationships and chicks and guff like that. That's why all 3 have really high production values and the same sort of aesthetic look to them all. I never really saw the Estranged video on the telly at the time, but tracked it down later on. They cost a small fortune to produce.
