Last 9 games

6 wins, 2 draws and 1 defeat

You've dropped 4 points in your last 2 games in the league, against teams you should be beating...

You're struggling

They would never admit that though Davo you should know that,

Let them cling onto the hope that it will all be ok, heaven forbid they may actually not be anywhere near the team they were...

Decisive period alright. The lads should not underestimate Southampton this weekend either. Fecking tough game that is considering their current form.

Not much point in going on about the fixture lixt though, in order to be the best you have to be able to beat these teams.

I wouldn't totally rule them out yet to be fair..

But I can currently see them dropping points in basically any game they play..

They need to get a run going, and remember how to score goals

Too true, if its meant to be it will be no matter what order you play you games in, but you really need to pick up your play up front, RVN will not be able to do it on his own, and IMO you can't just rely on getting a new striker come January either...

I'm not ruling them out, far from it, however too many on here seem to think everythings just going to fall into place and they will walk away with it.

I've seen more than one saying they will win it with games to spare.

Mad cnuts.

Yeah but some of them think we're rubbish..

The results must come as a constant sense of amazement to them

I don't think anyone believes that Liverpool are rubbish, but where I come from (aus), they are seen as fairly unglamorous. Liverpool seem to have a habbit of griding out results, and don't play much in the way of flashy football. So no matter how many games you win, the manner in which you do it doesn't impress nearly as much as the far more attractive football played by Arsenal and United (until recently).

You also lack a squad of really globally recognised names. Besides Michael Owen, you don't have much in the way of big names to attract media attention to your squad. I know you can claim that it's only results that count, but in today's climate, you've gotta have some panache to your team, which liverpool still lack. I mean, not to be too shallow, but look at your kit! Where United and Arsenal to some extent have gone not only for technology but also style in their kits, Liverpool's still resembles some sort of bad upchuck of the 80's (topped only by the sensual curves of Tottenham ;) ).

So in the current game, it's clear that you need more than just results. Why do you think we were so doubly keen to keep Beckham? Sure, he's more than twice the footballer Gerrard'll ever be but he also has a globally recognised name and a sense of glamour and style that goes hand in hand with that of United - and to a certain extent I feel that was part of the allure of Veron. We could have hunted around for some new next big thing but no, we went for the Argentine play maker captain. I mean, come on, for want of a better word Manchester United are sexy. And they will continue to be so for a long time to come.

And that is why people will continue to say things like "Liverpool really beat Manchester United!?" for many seasons to come!

that's possibly the most embarrassing thing i've ever heard from someone claiming to be a football fan.

have you followed "so-chair" for long?

Kinell, we have a shit kit.

We are well and truley fecked.

Lol, no listen to what I am saying.

Liverpool win things yes. Are they glamorous, no.

What is football? It's a form of entertainment. Sure to many it's a more than that but to a lot more it's just watched for the entertainment value.

When you're not entertaining you're not doing your job. Why do you think Anfield has trouble filling each week when the bernebau seats 90 odd thousand?

I openly admit that I am more of a casual football supporter. And at the end of the day I want to enjoy a football match. Lord only knows the number of united matches I've walked away from in the last few months. If they're not playing enjoyable football then there are plenty of other things I could be doing.

Just a view of an alternate sort of football supporter.

Jeez I'm so glad you're a manc......

;)

I wouldn't really call myself a manc, I just enjoy any team that plays good football. ;)

Niether would I, filthy lot they are!

Nate - Davo - guilty as charged! Cuffs on. Seargent Booker and Takehimaway.

I'm definately in denial that the Poo are a good team. I'm 'still' completely convinced that you're playing above yourselves and will come down to Earth any minute. Even if... god forbid... you should go on and win the Prem I dont think I'll allow myself to admit it.

And again, your absolutely right, I 'know' Man Utd is still the best team in the land, and any minute now will start sweaping all before them to conquer the Prem and regain our crown.

If there any treatment I should be taking? I'm happy, so should I be seaking enlightenment?

What's worse - I dont think I'm alone - certainly not on here

:D

There is just too much debate about whether or not United really is going for a striker in January to say at this point. Hard to find any teams who either are now out of CL play or still in CL play who are willing to part with their strikers without United giving up some serious money. Once RVN and at least Keene are back, and then Nicky Butt, things will come together, whether or not they get another striker, although I agree another striker would help. :)
