The past 10 years at the Caf I have always "stayed" logged in so I don't have to enter my pw at home 2 million times a day everytime I visit Caf but the last day or so I haven't stayed logged in automatically so everytime I enter Caf atm I have to login which is annoying, both at my netbook and my big computer, using Chrome and IE. Is there a problem on my end or is it like this for everyone?

Happening for me but, just started as far as I could tell some point after the game - when I came back from my son's footie practice and checked the caf, was logged out.
Well, there is an expiry time if I'm not mistaken or you may have done a new installation.
Now once you inputted the users name + password on the second time, you probably pressed " Never to store/remember password " thus IE doesn't remember it for you so you need to login again and again.

Nope nothing new installed the recent day and no store password box/bubble has come up. But if go to redcafe.net and click on the forum button I get logged in automatically like I used too

I too was signed out at work, I entered an invalid password and it still logged me in.
Had the same problem on both my laptop and blackberry
When I open Chrome in the morning I use the history button at the restore the last session so that all my usual tabs are re-opened, recently when doing this the caf has loaded with me logged out, but when I just click any of the forum links to go to another page it logs in, like it's now 'remembered' that I'm always logged in.

this happens on days of heavy traffic sometimes. Something to do with Niall and the servers getting reset when traffic becomes crazy. Niall explained it the other day, I'll try and find the post.

Just wanted to give you all a heads up that a few things on the server configuration has changed to try and improve performance when things get busy. Specifically a more aggressive caching strategy targeting guests.
This only affects topic pages and shouldn't impact on logged in users. However, if you notice any odd behaviour with topic pages (e.g. stale content, new posts not appearing straight away) over the next couple of days please let me know.
Fingers crossed this will make a difference on matchdays, after Tuesday's game things were agonisingly bad!

I notice I appear signoud out in the forum home page but when I click forum it automatically logs me on, so I still don't need to input my password. Try that.
This is related to Niall's post a few weeks ago. The "aggressive caching" mentioned is caching of the home page for guests. This has been briefly enabled a few times since then, but has been running constantly since post-match on Tuesday.
As logged in users you should not be seeing any difference. If you are then it is most likely a cookie issue.
So I can be 100% sure of what you are seeing:
- Does it happen consistently, on every page, or just at the start of a session?
- can you confirm that on connecting to the home page all threads are "old" - ie there are no bold threads shown?
- If so, does this persist when you hit reload, or click on the Redcafe logo in the top left?
- Is your username shown in the box in the top right, or do you get the username/password boxes?
- If you click on a particular forum then you should get a logged in view - the forum pages aren't cached at all. If you click on the Redcafe Logo after this, do you still get a "logged out" view?
- What browser are you using?

It has been happening on my phone and pc and the last 2 times I relogged on my phone it said my info was incorrect but logged me in anyway and if it happens 3 more times ill be locked out
