Fanced going to my local flea-pit this afternoon as I haven't seen a film since (I think) Bourne Ultimatum last summer.

A flick through the press and I was suprised that it all looks a bland fair.

This time last year we had the first of about half-a-dozen blockbusters.

How disappointing!

I agree with you. Top 10 in the US:

1 21 (2008) $24.1M $24.1M
2 Horton Hears a Who! (2008) $17.7M $118M
3 Superhero Movie (2008) $9.51M $9.51M
4 Meet the Browns (2008) $7.48M $32.5M
5 Drillbit Taylor (2008) $5.71M $20.5M
6 Shutter (2008) $5.22M $19M
7 10,000 B.C. (2008) $4.95M $85M
8 Stop-Loss (2008) $4.56M $4.56M
9 College Road Trip (2008) $3.46M $38.3M
10 The Bank Job (2008) $2.78M $24.1M

Shutter and 21 seem decent though!

Hasn't been a really good flick at the cinema since There will be Blood or No Country for old men.

That is true. Dark Knight should make the wait worthwhile though.

Where do you live? UK/US/elsewhere?

Gone Baby Gone
We own the night
Before the devils knows you are dead
Run Fatboy run

All worth watching

21 is nice, I enjoyed it. Others might not though ..

is it bad then?

Its awful man. I saw it first-day-first-show when I was in the states, cause I thought it had potential. It horrible ... when they show you the same scene for the sixth time (they are supposed to be from six different points of view ...but they really aren't) ... you'll be ready to tear your hair out .. And the big 'suprise-ending' ain't no suprise at all. Believe me. Give this one a miss.
