Actually you're not the only one. A lot of the newer posters lose their ability to view the newbie after being promoted, and also anyone who has been banned and then reinstated. I am able to view the newbie, but dont really do it, you can have mine if you want.
I had posting rights and then GB took them away and took my viewing rights away in the process. I asked him to give them back but he said the whole thing was under review. That was ages ago.

Sorry to bang on about this but can someone change my settings so that I can at least view the Newbie forum. Given that I can view it by logging out, it serves no useful purpose other than to get on my tits, which may of course be the whole point, which seems a little mean.
Everyone is the same Slabber. Except a very few who can post. Anyone else who can view but not post can only do so due to a cock up with the settings.

I would check your "User CP" settings.
You may have ticked the "Don't let me view the Newbies Forum" by accident.
I think it's shockingly unfair you can't interact with a bunch of posters with the word "Muppet" in their name.
