Haaland's dad being a jerk shocker.
Haaland's dad being a jerk shocker.
Is he not 24?
It was the mannerisms that made me suspicious. I did a quick google and it said he was 24/25.Of course he´s 24 just look at him!
How many amazing goals does Haaland score? This guy will never light up the highlights reel. He cant dribble, he doesn't have a long shot, he is simply a penalty box merchant, albeit a very good one.
You could make a highlights package of Henry or Ronaldo dribbling past multiple defenders or scoring long range shots. But with Haaland, you just get headed shots form inside the 6 yard box or tap ins form cutbacks.
Will never win the Ballon Dor, because he has no style or grace.

Wrong, he's actually a very good, very good dribbler, just cause he's not small doesn't make his dribbling poor. He dribbles more like big Yaya and R9 used to (R9 had a slightly better touch but running style and how they combined power and pace were very similar in running technique with the ball). I swear people don't watch him at all before posting this nonsense.
This one is more apt
Blasphemy from a normally good poster

Really? Did you go so far in your research as to even attempt to google that? Because it really isn't hard to find ready-made highlight packages which shows that claim up for the nonsense it is.
Here's a couple to start you off:

He just won the FWA "PL player of the year" by the largest margin in the history of the PL (82% of the votes), but whatever....How many amazing goals does Haaland score? No he isn't, 0.35 dribbles completed per gameI should clarify. He's not nearly as good but has a similar style. Haaland is though a very good dribbler. R9 was out of this world but the styles were alike.
But you can't deny that the vast majority of his goals are scored from within the area. This season for City, all but one goal came from inside the area, the same was true for his first full season with Dortmund (I haven’t seen the stats for his second season at Dortmund) https://www.bundesliga.com/en/bunde...lscoring-exploits-for-borussia-dortmund-16079Really? He is an astonishingly good goalscorer.
You don't think thats to do with how far forward he plays? and not his ability? The fact he plays right at the tip of a team who pin opponents into their own box?
Just because he doesn't do it often doesn't mean he can't? I mean theres literally clear proof in the video I posted but ignore if you must.
Almost like he's been asked to play a different role at City.

As a pure goalscorer, he is going to join or surpass Muller as amongst the best ever.
One bad game and discussions erupt about how good or bad Haaland is. Incredible…
I don’t know many pure nr 9’s with such good technique and control over the ball. He manages to control the ball with a defender hanging in his neck.
The fact that Rudiger practically was attached to Haaland is testament to how good this young guy already is.
True. But his percentage is very very high, more near RVN than Henry or Aguero. Regardless, his ability to put the ball in the net would be an asset for any team. I don't understand the need to make up stuff about his dribbling or shooting when he doesn’t need those attributes. His efficiency is unparalleled. The vast majority of ANY prolific striker's goals are scored from within the area.
«MANCHESTER (VG) Ole Gunnar Solskjær (50) goes so far as to suggest that Erling Braut Haaland (22) could have become a Manchester United player on his watch.
Solskjær is back in Manchester for the first time after he was sacked as manager in November 2021. On Friday evening he met United supporters at an event in a hotel in Manchester.
He was in his second spell as Molde coach (2015–2018) - where he had a certain Erling Braut Haaland as a young giant talent.
-I had this talented striker that we (United) should have had, says Solskjær and everyone in the room knows who he is referring to.
Some call out the name Haaland, but Solskjær never takes the name of the Jærbu in his mouth.
-I called them six months before I was offered the United job, and offered him for four million pounds (around NOK 40 million at the time), claims Solskjær.
To emphasize how little money it appears to be today, he repeats:
-Four million!
Solskjær trained the current Manchester City star in Molde from 2017 to 2018.
-We should’ve had him now, but they didn't listen, continues the former Manchester United manager.
-Where is he now? he is asked from the stage.
-Do not ask. Don't ask, Solskjær replies.
Haaland was sold from Molde to Salzburg for around eight million euros in 2018, according to Transfermarkt. Manchester United were also looking to sign Haaland from Salzburg when the world star signed for Borussia Dortmund at the end of 2019. At the time, Solskjær was United's manager.
The Manchester United hero who became manager in 2018 is in town. On Saturday, he will watch the home game against Wolverhampton. On Friday evening, he met around 400 supporters.
Until we begin to hold people responsible for transfer decisions, there will be no improvement. Someone dropped the ball and that’s why Haaland is not here. Many fans would say, “well Haaland never wanted to come here” but the information available suggests that it was more of a case of the higher-ups dragging their feet on the decision to sign the boy. Just imaging having Haaland on either side of Rashford and Antony?

We can blame others all we can for our predicaments but that wouldn’t solve the problem. Another transfer window looms…..

It's difficult to judge a player's personality from interviews and youtube videos alone but he actually does seem like a humble kind of guy.Worst ones are the ones claiming he'd have an ego and cause problems in the dressing room, because people were basing those assumptions on absolutely nothing. People thinking he might not suit our style is quite forgivable.
Fair comment. He seems like a total team guy. I thought the same at Dortmund as well actually, always went out of his way to give Sancho and others credit.Worst ones are the ones claiming he'd have an ego and cause problems in the dressing room, because people were basing those assumptions on absolutely nothing. People thinking he might not suit our style is quite forgivable.
You are angry as if you are a City fan or Norwegian. And I don't see the need to make up this tap-in merchant nonsense. You don't even actually have the percentages you talk about, it's all anecdotal. No one's making anything up about his shot or ability to take the ball past defenders, which is first rate. Whether he needs them or not.
You are angry as if you are a City fan or Norwegian.
I gave the stats.
0.35 dribbles completed per game season 2022/23
0.5 dribbles completed per game season 2021/22
1 goal from outside the area this season.
1 goal from outside the area his first complete season at Dortmund (2020/21). I don't have the stat for 2021/22.
44 out of his first 50 goals this season have been one touch goals.
Ronaldo’s overhead kick against Juventus was a one touch goal in the box.
Its quite weird this guy confuses can't with doesn't when their is clear evidence that he can.
