Nordic Ghost Yeti (Scandi Carroll) | Haaland at City

If you went back in time and made sure his parents never met at the Enchantment Under the Sea Dance he wouldn't even be born, not that impressive tbh

I do wonder how he would fair at a club like Madrid. I think he would have the same struggles as he does at city. He needs the team to be built around him, to get the best out of him. Do that and thats what 40-50 goals a season possibly?

For sure, he'll fall back into being a 25-30 goal per season striker I think.

Isn't he 22? It's strange how we view different players.

Antony is 22, his first season on EPL and is thought of as a work in progress. Given time and leeway to improve. Expected to improve.

Then there's Haaland. Same age, also his first year in EPL but considered at his peak. If anything folk are generally expecting him to drop off a bit from here on in.

I think he's brilliant. What's happening at City was entirely predicted. He won't suit Pep's style but will score loads anyway.

In this RM team? He would struggle a fair bit, i guess.

We are very reliant on Vinicius, as our right-flank doesn't do much, also, Palace played negative yesterday, but teams like that are very common in la liga, low block, foul, waste time and all that, reckon he would be fustrated.

Now, with a new right back, a new right winger, and some creativity in midfield then its a different story.

City are scoring less than last year, 2.48 a game v 2.61 last year. Could improve by season end of course.

He hasn't improved their overall attack so far. Jesus was a better fit for their style of play?

Its like a robot dancing right in the middle of a heart of Ballerinas. Can take a deadly centre of stage but ultimately a bit too heavy for the rest of the team.

If you take away his pens, hattricks, braces and tap ins, he’s nothing special.
#mental gymnastics

That’s exactly what I said Troy

The point was that his record is bloody fantastic, however, he has actually failed to score a non-penalty goal in 12 of his 24 PL starts.
So yeah, the stats can give the impression he’s twatting it in pretty much every game with a frankly outrageous 28 goals in 24 starts.

Id say so. Look how much arsenal miss him. They are coping, but with him in the team they are a much better team.

For sure he'll improve all round but I think his first 20 games set an impossible rate is all.

Banging in 25-30 league goals is much more realistic I think and still phenomenal.

It's not completely fair imo. They've been starting matches with 4 centre backs because Pep has lost the plot a bit and the team as a whole looks pretty flat.

This team is clearly not at the same level overall as previous years and Haaland has suffered a bit from that.

Also, maybe it's just me but he looks like he's making a fraction of the runs he was earlier in the season because he knows he won't get the ball anyway.

Jesus didn't play for most of last season either. I recall it was Foden playing at 9

Jesus got moved out on the wing because his confidence in front of goal was shot.

Him and Haaland would have been fantastic together

They're definitely winning the CL after all this "What's he adding?" talk.
It's weird, they seem better set up for the CL this season compared to the PL. They might still win the league but it's been harder than the last two seasons for them.

39 goals so far this season. Remember the joking of him getting 50 goals

10 UCL goals this season. He could beat Ronaldo’s record of 15 in one season!

Messi's 5 goals against leverkusen were extraordinary doing chip goals with both legs, goals from outside the box. It's amazing how we normalize how amazing he could be back then.

These 5 goals from Haaland are a result of him benig a force of nature.
