So, we finally got our man at 30 millions pounds, which i think is absolutly crazy money for a defender. Come Augest when the season starts, all spotlights wiil be on him to perform. There will not be any room for errors, even minor errors will be magnify by the press. I just hope Ferdi can handle the pressure and tag of "World most expensive defender"
Well he was the worlds most expensive defender when he moved to Leeds and that worked out OK. Despite the 3-1 1 debut loss against Leicester which I seem to remember many Man Utd fans laughing at at Wes Brown was so much better than Rio anyway

I still reckon that Wes has the potential to make as good a player if not better..His confidence appears to be a bit low if he gets that back ..Who Knows he clearly has an abundance of ability

True. People on this very site were laughing at you (Leeds)for buying Rio when we had Wes Brown.
Funny how things change isn't it elmo. Us footie fans are very fickle. Just wait till Rio is at fault for a United goal conceded and the gloating that will follow in the press. etc

Wes has the ability but Rio seems to have more mental strength.
