No sales rush for Reds

MANCHESTER United are set to stay clear of the January sales scramble when the mid-season transfer window opens next Wednesday.
Reds' chief executive Peter Kenyon has told M.E.N. Sport that he is not expecting to do any transfer business over the 31-day shopping period.
Despite mounting speculation over potential Old Trafford imports and a list of nine strikers reportedly drawn up by manager Sir Alex Ferguson, Kenyon insists new faces are unlikely.
"We've got nothing planned. The manager has not come to me to say he wants this player or that," Kenyon says.
"Sir Alex and I talk all the time but there is nothing in the pipeline."
The Reds have been linked throughout the season with potential striker targets because Fergie's senior front man department has been one light since Dwight Yorke was sold to Blackburn Rovers earlier in the campaign.
AC Milan's Andrei Shevchenko, Deportivo La Coruna's Diego Tristan, Robbie Fowler of Leeds, Sunderland's Kevin Phillips and Chelsea's Eidur Gudjohnsen have all been named as possible Old Trafford arrivals during next month.
The latest name to be added is Auxerre's Djibril Cisse. The 21-year-old's club boss Guy Roux is said to accept the fact that Cisse will move on eventually but with his side still in the UEFA Cup and facing Liverpool in the next round the young striker may not move until the summer.
The close season is traditionally when Fergie has brought new faces into the club and he has avoided integrating imports in the middle of a campaign.
In his time at Old Trafford only Andy Cole in '95 and Diego Forlan this year have been captured in mid-term.
While the January transfer window is a new venture in the Premiership Kenyon points out it is nothing new for United.
"Traditionally we have not done much business at this time because we like to get the squad together in the summer," he says.
"But the transfer window in January is nothing new for us because we have always adopted it due to our position in Europe and you have the chance in this month to add to your Champions League squad.
"But as I have said we don't generally do business then. You have the problems of players being cup tied or the kind of players we would possibly go for are unavailable at this time.
"We've pursued nothing so far. If something happened and things changed then we'd look at it positively but nothing is planned.
"The other factor is that our injuries are thankfully clearing up now. They seem to be coming to an end so we are getting a full strong squad back

I have to agree although we should just bring in Bellion in jann and sign Cisse in summer
