Team Himannv

Formation: 4-3-3

Tactics: High line, high press

Generally speaking, the tactic is to win the ball higher up the pitch so that we can exploit any spaces that the opposition may leave for us. This is aided by having a hard-working frontline backed up by hard working midfielders and good defenders.

Having said that, there will obviously be times when we'd have to start from the back and play out. In those situations as well we are well equipped with a sweeper keeper in Ter Stegen and a backline that is good on the ball, along with Schweinsteiger who will obviously be a key player on the ball for us. The fullbacks are both comfortable at bombing forward. Fernandinho does most of the covering and dirty work in midfield and enables the likes of Schweinsteiger and Lucha to be more offensive minded if they need to be.

The general position of players in and attacking scenario will be something similar to the following with enough cover through the spine to deal with counters, while also having a platform to attack the opposition:

One of the players I want to highlight is Lucha. He's like a Bruno Fernandes who can keep the ball. He contributes a great deal to the pressing obviously, but also contributes goals and brings a lot to the team on the ball as well, especially in a team that will operate in transition.

Moving on to the attackers, the wide players are key to how we want to play. Littbarski drops a bit deeper than Futre as he also has creating related duties. He's two footed, extremely skillful and lovely player with technique and footwork in addition to a goal threat.

Futre on the other hand is a quick and skillful dribbler who will take absolutely anyone on.

Team Isotope

This exciting one-to-watch team is rock-solid at the back, tireless in the middle, and electrifying up front.

Team creativity: From defense to attack, creativity flows through players. With Domingo Da Guia and Collovati anchoring the defense and launching attacks, Breitner orchestrates the midfield with flair. Djorkaeff and Rensenbrink can drop deep when needed or shine as playmakers in the final third.

Goals: Goals come from everywhere. The Shevchenko-Djorkaeff-Rensenbrink trio is a dynamic scoring machine, with Breitner also chipping in with some spectacular strikes.

Just a reminder of how good Shevchenko was.

Showing of how complete Rensenbrink as a player i: A winger, playmaker, and forward.

What's up with Iso's 3?

Have to see Collovati more but my recall of both was that they were more comfortable centrally. I don't recall seeing Sol defending out wide consistently to make an impression either way. He certainly has the pace and strength, but not sure if that's his best fit.

In this set up, I think he'll make a good DM rather than in a back 3. Comfortable in possession and having two excellent playmaking B2B to take care of distribution.

Not much between them, I just like the balance of Himann's midfield and think they will control the action in this one.

Gone for Isotope. Lot of individual quality plus those full backs!

Don't like Breitner Neeskens much as a midfield two, though it would be entertaining. Breitner is positionally sophisticated and disciplined enough to keep things going, but without a Dremmler defensive-metronome type (very underrated player imo) you're not going to get him at his dynamic best. Neeskens irrepressibly coked up style would tie him to the centre. With wingbacks that are more midfield and less winger than Cafu/Roberto Carlos it would work better.

Agreed. I'd just rely on both tireless pressing at this point, while not really fully unleashed what they can do.

Collovati can play RB and Central. http://www.pesmitidelcalcio.com/viewtopic.php?f=17&t=3854

And on back 3, would you have problem with Kohler there, instead of Campbell?

I remember Sol doing well for England in Hoddle’s 3-5-2. Collovati similar. Da Guia harder to say but played in a de facto back 2 so would imagine he could cover space and used the ball well.

No. Kohler has played CB. I just wasn't sure if Sol had LCB. Gio knows better and let me look Hoddle reign up.

I generally don't prefer Side CBs unless they are comfortable as FBs or have played that position before. Nothing on Sol specifically. If you had played Rio there, I'd still question it.
