Has finally signed for Aston Villa for £8.5m

That's the end of his threads!

this player didnt even deserve to much attention... only one or two who were talking bollocks and linking him with us.
he is a crap player and crap players go to average teams, that was what happened :smirk:

We are slowly killing the transfer forum.

Torres to the dump
Tevez probably to us, Nani, Anderson and Hargo too.
Coker and Bent has been transfered too

Now who are left? Richards, De Rossi.. ?

Thank God there's still Copa America, Asian Cup and u20 World Cup to last us a bit longer :nervous:

he was supposed to be unveiled in a news conference at 6.30, hes only just shown up lol

Sneijder, Drenthe, SWP, Robben are a few names that spring to mind - all (or none) of those could be moving on

Our squad is FULL with great players so the transfer forum should be already dead and buried. Torres, the only one who could give life to the transfer muppetry went to the dippers...

According to a football agent most of the deal's are yet to be done. This agent said that 60% of this summer window's transfers will take place in the last two weeks of August.

It's all about brinksmanship.

Aston Villa has a fan in Poland, he was on TV once in a program that was called "We will fulfil your dreams" or something equally spastic, he tried to imply that Villa's anthem goes like 'Villa (clap, clap, clap), Villa (clap, clap, clap)'.

No, it doesn't.

um with all due respect

what the feck have villa done over the last 5...or even ten years to be considered anything but a nothing side?

ermmm... consistently stayed in midtable? Might be more interesting to be a West Ham or Man City fan, always wondering if you'll fall off at the next dip of the rollercoaster, but Villa are a fine team for a Tory to support.

Silly move for Rea-Poker.

Right, I just posted this so I could say Rea-Poker. I'll get me coat.

the right answer for those who think that the transfer forum will die

Aston Villa .... a fairly pointless existence.

Their existence is not pointless. Are you are going to say the same thing about all teams outside the top 6? If so should the Prem. league consist of only 6 clubs? Would be very boring if so.

Villa, like all clubs, have ambitions - whether they can fulfil them in the near future is another question. They have a long and proud history, and with MON at the helm and a wealthy owner, I expect to see them move up the table next season: top 8 finish.

The most bizarre transfer story in a while...

Nigel Reo-Coker “would certainly be honoured” to join Napoli, said his agent, after links with Galatasaray, Juventus and Roma too.
The 27-year-old is coming to the end of his contract with Aston Villa this summer and it’s reported the Partenopei are leaping to the front of the queue.

“The lad’s contract will expire on June 30, so we can already start talking to clubs who are interested in signing him,” Tony Finnigan told Radio CRC in Italy.

“Should an offer come from Napoli then he would certainly be honoured. Napoli are attracting a lot of interest in Europe with their performances this season.

“Reo-Coker has been contacted by big clubs like Inter, Milan and Fiorentina, but we’ll try to get some answers from Napoli in the next few days too.”

 He's the definition of average. Probably below average.

He's a nothing player. I can't get my head around a player like him being in and around the England squad at one stage.

Seeing this thread brings back memories of 2007. That was a dream muppet summer. Nani and Anderson in one night, Hargro later on that month and then Tevez to top it all off

Perhaps because four/five years ago he looked quite good and a definite prospect for the future. Lead his side to the FA Cup final and was clearly the inspirational leader of that average side (that was robbed with Dudek came well off his line for every penalty kick). Think he was the youngest captain in West Ham's history (this after captaining Wimbledon as a teen).

I guess he just never fulfilled that early promise he showed. And because of that posters pull the hindsight crap.

Except that I always thought he was a nothing player. West Ham was his level. Being captain didn't change that.

WTF? Surely that's not true.

Reo-Coker agent claims interest

Nigel-Reo Coker's agent claims AC Milan and Valencia are among a host of top European clubs keen to sign the Aston Villa midfielder.

Reo-Coker's contract at Villa Park expires in the summer and his agent claimed earlier this month that he will be "the biggest English Bosman of the summer" if he is allowed to leave.

Reo-Coker has since claimed there are clubs in the Champions League looking to sign him, and his agent, Tony Finnigan, says there is interest from all over Europe.

"The interest from abroad is huge in Nigel, a team from just about every major league is looking at him," Finnigan told Sky Sports' website.

"Milan, Dortmund, Napoli, Valencia, Fenerbahce - they are all looking at him.

Reo-Coker is also said to be attracting the attention of some Premier League clubs - but they cannot officially make a move for him until the end of the season.
